Stalberg has absolutely been a turd, but he's shown some change in the last few games. He's been more physical and has generally been more involved in play. I swear, there was a long stretch where he was completely invisible.

I wouldn't mind seeing him go one bit, but I am still a little curious to see if he can develop. He's got size and I like that.

He's got size. Whoop dee fucking doo. He sucks.

Bickell has size too but is outproducing him but doesn't hit either.

I actually heard that this trade is a win for us. Don't know that much about players. But I guess it's good.

Jordan Staal plays like his 6'4" frame.

There are guys with "size" that are pussy's.

To: Those who do not think this is a big move

a consistent 20 goal scorer his first 2 seasons in the nhl, 8 goals this year on very very bad florida teams. he will probably be our 2nd line center which we need. oh and he is young. he has done alot more at a younger age than skille or the great stalberg.

Its not a big move, its a HUGE move. To add a player like Frolik to this line-up is a really really huge upgrade. This bumps Kopecky out of the top 6, and brings in a guy who has proved that he can score and be a playmaker. Also by getting a goalie with the potential hype Salak has for a 4th liner, a prospect in Jessiman who has never lived up to anything but a good AHL season, and a rumored college prospect who is rumored to have a bad attitude. I'll take this deal all day long

Well it isn't a big move - it may be an important one, but for my money a 'big move' involves moving one of the core for me (as say, back when Savard was traded for Chelios or when half of the Kings were traded for Wayne Gretzky) - just so things are clear about where I, at least, was coming from.

I didn't think we could get guys like Frolik/Salak for a guy like Skille.

This would be my new lineup (considering Hossa is hurt):

Sharp-Toews-Kane
Brouwer-Frolik-Morin
Bickell-Bolland-Stalberg
Kopecky-Dowell-Pisani

Even though Frolik only has 12 total faceoffs this season, he plays center and we need to try something new.

I think you have to leave Brouwer with Toews and Kane because he has been solid there. Also if Sharp is with Frolik he can jump back to center if needed

I have a mate in Sweden (who also happens to have played some hockey) so I asked him about Salak.

Salak is Czech goalie playing in the Swedish elite league for Färjestads BK. A guy with a temper you might say, as he likes to distribute face punches to those stupid enough to get too close. :) A brilliant keeper when he is in the right mod ...

I think this is right -since you can also take advantage of Sharp's faceoff ability as well (doesn't mean he has to play centre).

I'm just looking at it in terms of needing Sharp's goal scoring. He played with Toews and Kane last night and quickly broke out of his short slump. Brouwer has been solid, but I think we are in dire need of new blood on the 4th line and IMO, Kopecky seems to play better there. Not saying this is permanent of course, but I am REALLY curious to see how Frolik does in the circle more consistently.

LOL Hope to see him turn out well and possibly give us a reason to move Toivonen off the books. :)

There's a stunner. So glad we have him for only 10 more years.
