stay safe @nvanprooyen
Newest NHC cone looking better, for me anyway:
Making landfall around Lake Okeechobee, then turning north up the state. If it takes that track it will be significantly weakened by the time it gets to Central FL. Of course this could all easily change in the next few days.
Cat 1 ain't no thing. I'm mostly worried about it moving slow and dumping a ton of rain.Hate to break it to you... but ...

That looks like a direct hit as Cat 1. With how slow the storm is moving that could still be catastrophic. I was reading that GFS had it stalled out over warm water this morning.
That's odd.I saw yesterday where someone tweeted
“If Dorian misses Puerto Rico and hits Mar-a-Lago, I will personally pay for a native Puerto Rican to go there and throw rolls of paper towels at The Chosen One.”
Fabulous.
That's odd.
Starting the countdown to the code launchHave we nuked Dorian yet?
The models have been all over the place. Ready for whatever though. We parked our boat in St Augustine which looks to be well north of where it is going to hit land.... but this asshole hurricane wants to run right up the coast after it makes landfall.
It's literally just rain, buy a fucking umbrella. Everyone way overreacts to these things. The models have been all over the place. Ready for whatever though.
