Microsoft offering free 360 with purchase of new PC to students in North America | VG247

Microsoft is once again offering a deal for North American college students: buy a new PC from select retailers for $699 or more, and receive a 4GB Xbox 360 free. So much for productivity and that physics midterm. Participating retailers in the US include: Best Buy, Dell, Fry’s, HPDirect, Microsoft Stores, and NewEgg. Canadian students should check out: Best Buy, Dell, Future Shop, Staples and The Source. For those who decide to wait on the release of Windows 8, rumor has it the new OS will launch around June 2 and Windows 7 users can upgrade to it for $15.

Is Sony Partnering with OnLive? - IGN

A new rumor suggests that Sony is ready for a major upgrade to its cloud integration. According to a report by VG247, Sony is preparing a “partnership deal between PlayStation and a leading cloud gaming service.”

While no service is mentioned specifically, OnLive and Gaikai are the two most likely candidates. OnLive has previously made a foray into console gaming with its own microconsole, and more recently has brought console games to Android and iOS tablets. Most notably, OnLive and Sony previously partnered for OnLive support on Xperia Play.

Gaikai, meanwhile, has its own cloud gaming service and has made high-profile partnerships in the past, including one with EA. Previous rumors also suggested that Gaikai was looking to bring World of Warcraft to tablets. Famously, Gaikai chief product officer Nanea Reeves also predicted that Microsoft or Sony could quit the console race soon. Is that because she knew a Sony cloud gaming service was on the way?

For now, very few details are available, including whether this service would be for PS3, Vita or both. We’ve reached out to Sony for comment, but the company typically doesn't respond to rumors or speculation. E3 is less than two weeks away, though, so if there’s any truth behind this rumor we’ll find out then.

What era does this game focus on?

Modern setting, just like the last Medal of Honor. Might even be a sequel to it. Not sure, I didn't play that Medal of Honor reboot. Just didn't look very good and I don't think it did very well.
