Also I'll be visiting the US for the first time and will be attending my first ever NHL game on March 1st to watch the Hawks face the Blue Jackets. I can't wait as I've followed Ice Hockey since the days of Roenick & Chellios

Very cool. My first trip to a Blackhawks game was one of my best childhood memories. It's an incredible atmosphere.

I am continually amazed at the lack of interest in the only team worth a shit this century in Chicago(sorry Sox fans...lol), or will they arrive again just in time for the parade come June?.

The Hawks have no quit in them, and ownership/management has done a pretty decent job maintaining talent levels in a cap restrictive environment. At this rate, Kane and company could very well retire with rings on both hands.

Go Hawks!.

Worth a shit this century? Hawks have 1 Cup since 1960-61.

And simmer down the parade talk. It's March.

My self imposed spending boycott of the NHL because of the lockout is over. My son is getting us tickets for an upcoming game this month. Not sure which one yet as it depends on what's available thru his work. I know, I know....a real wimpy boycott. But how the hell was I to know they'd be going 19-0-3?

Gasp! I haven't redone one of these thingers in the new season: 1-2? answered in the pro-file pointless. Making new ones.

Favorite Players: Brent Seabrook
Favorite All-Time Player: Peter Forsberg
Favorite All-Time Blackhawk: Tony Amonte/Chris Chellios
Top At Game experience: Kane's goal and Neimi's face plant glove save in the shutout vs Phoenix March 23, the cup year.
Least Favorite Blackhawks moment: The trade of Kyle Calder[1st time] (Mainly a culimation of the horrid moves but this one took the cake for me, and pushed me away that 06-07 season, until hearing of Kane's draft arrival of Toews which was inciting a listening to the team)

Where is this lack of interest you speak of? Do you mean on this board?

So? Still not impressive.

Fan base is getting a little cocky for having only one Cup since 1960-61.

Maybe you missed the memo.....

There are no more dynasties in the NHL. No Montreal -Toronto yearly assaults on the Cup, no NY Islander 4 year grips on it, no more Gretzky led Edmonton Oiler toe holds on it. The salary cap amoungst other things have taken care of that. Every year is crap shoot these days, so when your team has it going like the Hawks do....you best enjoy it while you can.

And should the Hawks win their second Cup in 4 seasons this summer, I can't wait to hear Capt. Serious complain about all the "dynasty" talk. Because it'll be there, guaranteed.

3 years ago, players spoke the following:

"This may be a team of destiny".

3 years later, they know destiny is created by those it encompasses...big difference between confidence and arrogance.

And since I'm here, ran across a pretty cool vid:
