kane is NOT a true 2c. Putting Kane there is just plain dumb. Do you honestly think he will get help from Bowman on that line with a real skilled/physical player? I dont. Leave him on the wing where he belongs.

Jokinen is a FA which is why myself and Icehog are high on him, he is a skilled physical player whch is what we need, and we wouldnt have to deal picks and players to obtain a 2c. Its more of a win situation by making this signing.

Jokinen knows he is the best center available, and he will want more money because of it.

I'd rather just give Kane the summer to learn the center role and sign a quality winger (which are more readily available, thus cheaper)

Why can't Kane be the 2C? I'll agree that he's probably better on the wing, but I don't see why he can't be a center.

Last year he was just thrown into the position with little or no time to prepare for it.

What if he goes through training camp knowing that he could be a center? I know I've said this before but I don't remember you answering it.

Jokinen is not a physical player...he hardly utilizes his size like he should.

I think Jokinen is a 55 point player on a team like the Blackhawks. I think his foot speed has been going down and his two way game as well.

Also, I personally think that Jokinen will get overpaid because teams will think that he might have some of that Florida flash left in him, but that left al ong time ago. Hell, if we want to bring up age...he is only a year and a half younger than Doan as well.

I just don't think Jokinen is going to be the answer. At $3Mil...I go for it, but I see him getting well over $3mil and probably for more than 1 year as well.

Well now if you are talking Parise than one has to think about it, but if the experiment fails than we are in some shit because most likely if we were to get parise, than bolland is gone and there is no center depth. I just dont want to experiment with it. id much rather have a 2c with kane in his natural position.

I'll just have to disagree with you on Jokinen being a physical player.

He has size but he isn't physical. He doesn't use his body effectively and I just wouldn't consider him physical.
