I submitted my bourbon oak stout and Christmas beer to a competition today. Judging is at the end of the month. Winner gets to brew with dry dock brewing at the great american beer fest pro am competition. The bourbon oak stout won't be picked for that because it takes too long but it can still win the competition. Oh well. It's good fun.

Anyone else brewing anything?

Good luck!

The vodka turned out pretty good, made for a pretty spicy bloody mary even without any tabasco.
Just finished it off last night with a friend.
I did strain it and seemed to have lost some volume.
I need to make more, but now I am out of peppers.
I like bloody marys spicy, so I may keep recipe the same, but just use spicy mix or tabasco.
May also slightly cut down tomato portion as it seemed to add sweetness, but will likely keep it the same since it is a full (small) jar.

Awesome! I will try it. I love spicy too. So I will take that into consideration. Thanks!

Good for you! I am sure it is tough breaking into the business. I am self taught so I have wanted to volunteer just to learn more. I hope it takes you where you want to go. Keep us posted.

I don't want to get too ahead of myself or too excited, but I have an interview with a brewery on Friday. I've got a good feeling though. Wish me luck y'all!

Maybe you can even have a free beer during your interview!
