So what are you trying to do when you get your masters here? I'm not up to speed on the media world so are you trying to get into directing films or is it more editing that you enjoy?

A little bit of both. I have a full time job doing what I enjoy, but the filmmaking is a closer reality that I could have ever imagined.
The backup to all of this is to be an educator.

Would you ever considering applying for a job at one of the major Hollywood studios? A masters in this field would seem to open some doors and get you a foot in and start working on films.

I don't know if his preferred theatrical genre is horror but I do know he's got some nice little documentary pieces---for example, the one on graffiti tags around Chicago and the one about the incarcerated girl are great IMO. There's also some theatrical shorts which are good too!

I really enjoy all genres, and will film all if the project is right.
My thesis is a documentary.
