Cool! Horror movie thread! I'm in!

My favorite by far is The Exorcist. However here are some good ones that haven't been mentioned:

The Audition (Japanese....A bit slow but very creepy at the end)
High Tension (cool horror movie with a twist)
Frailty (not quite horror exactly but a really good suspense movie)

EDIT: Also, a few ones that scared me back in the day but I haven't watched again:

Event Horizon
Candyman (scared the shit out of me when I was in 7th grade)
13 Ghosts

Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love this month and the overall atmosphere. After this, it's all down hill. I hate winter and the tune of year: so I'm always in hibernation til spring lol .

But.. My buddy adam and I for the past 12 yrs(holy shit!) do our annual horror movie marathon. The past few years more and more people wanna come. Pizza, beer and lots of laughs. We find the most hilarious 80s b horror films and get drunk n laugh: it's awesome.

Slumber party massacre, slaughterhouse high, silent night deadly night.. Just to name a few, are some of the most epic.

DESPERADO!!! YOU DA MAN!

I can't believe you said "Silent Night Deadly Night"!!!:bow::bow::bow::bow::beer:

All of you guys that love cheesy 80s death scenes and one-liners...you NEED to watch it...now! Too much fun and laughing.

I actually have seen 90% of the movies he's talking about.

Phantasm probably is my favorite horror flick. I watch that every year. Thanks to my dad! Showed me that when I was like 12

I thought desbrorado destroyed the hipster forum with his motorcycle and steely gaze.

Meh. Hipsters hate when cool bros like obscure movies.

Suspiria still creeps me out. Dario was on a role with that movie and Inferno. Kinda sucks now though. Although his masters of horror episode was fucked up.

Demons was a blast!! Have you seen night of the creeps yet!???!?

I also LOVE Fright Night and Lost Boys. So much fun.

I love you mentioned Pieces. LOL.

Unrelated story :D

Although produced under the title Goblins, United States distributors were skeptical about the film's ability to succeed as a standalone picture and renamed it Troll 2 in an attempt to market it as a sequel to the 1986 Empire Pictures film Troll. The two films, however, have no connection, and no trolls are actually depicted in Troll 2.

Somehow, I've never seen Fright Night. It's in my Netflix queue, though.

I've never seen Night of the Creeps. I've hung out with Fred Dekker, and I just kept directing the conversation back toward Monster Squad because that was the only one of his movies I had seen.

Did you see the Takashi Miike episode of Masters of Horror? Fucked up. It is royally fucked up.
