Transylvania 6-5000 and Monster Squad may not be horror but they are fucking classics.

Transylvania 6-5000

All I can remember from that movie is the first 30 seconds.

Me too. I loved the Payton sweater jersey at the end as well as all the good one-liners!

"Fat kid farted" and "Waaah waaa Wussssssssssss" were my favorites

Has anyone watched "Black Christmas?" I'm talking about the 1970s one that has developed a cult following, not the more recent one. My friend always raves about it and tells me to watch it. Apparently it has a great ending and it's his favorite horror/slasher movie of all time.

I watched it a few years ago. I remember liking it, but I don't remember specifics. It came out in '74 (the same year as Texas Chainsaw Massacre), so it pre-dates Halloween, Friday the 13th and the other popular slasher franchises by 4 or 5 years. I think it was really influential.
