I can't even remember a time when 99% of Bear fans agreed on anything. Until now I never seen it. Even fans of other teams see it. It's gotta mean something.

Probably ultimately means a record number of disappointed fans.

But hey, I'll be there on the ship, sinking with the rest.

I bet there are some ship jumpers by game 2 to 4 next year. I think the sane ones knows it will take time to get the system down and add the talent needed. But on the other end disappointment is for those that have hope, and not many had that even a month ago. I believe things will work out but if they don't I'm still glad we are trying hard. Many years I felt we did not even try.

to be brutally honest, the playoffs next year is not a likely scenario. The Bears have too many things going against them. They have inexperience at HC, QB, and WR. Pace would have to have a draft like the 1983 draft and hit on most of his FA's and I don't think he is smart enough to pull that off. Even if he does, He will probably have to face healthy aaron rodgers twice, and a very salty D in Minnesota, who could have case keenum back. We might get out of the cellar in the NFC north, but I doubt we get much farther than that. I am not trying to piss in anybody's Cheerios, I am just trying to be realistic. too many things have break just right for the Bears to have the chance at a playoff spot. Now I am not saying that it can't happen, I just believe the odds are stacked against the Bears. other teams have been able to make the worst to first transition, and I hope the Bears can do that. I just have lot of trouble putting faith in a GM who has made as many mistakes as he has. I agree that he might have made some great hires for next year and beyond in the coaching staff, but can he over come the talent gap that the Bears are facing by next season? I doubt it.

You take all the injuries we had last year and cut that in half, we win 7 games last year. Not too far fetched to up that to 9 next year

Even with all the positive vibes we are getting with this new coaching staff, so maybe negative people doubting any success. The people in this group would be doubting that the 1984 Bears were building something good.

I've had similar positive vibes before, and been completely wrong. Most may not believe this, but I look forward to the Bears season every year. Everybody is 0 - 0 and great things can happen. Like Kurt Warner for the Rams, or Case Keenum for the vikes. Mitch could take to Nagy's complex offense like a fish to water, and our oline could gel into a great group. Our defense could morph into a top five defense. Things like this could happen for the Bears and that is why I watch every year.

'17 Bears played 5 of the top 10 teams in their first 8 games. Falcons, Panthers, Steelers, Saints, Vikings. Bears outscored these playoff teams 86-83, all competitive games within one score besides the drubbing to the Panthers. The offense just has to be a little bit better and Bears beat all 5 of these playoff teams. Add a new hyped offensive staff, a HC that won't allow the team to fall flat in second halves and after a bye, a couple more pieces in FA and draft, a bit easier schedule and this team could reeeally take off. If you don't think the Bears have a chance at playoff contention then you're a fuckin troll.

Based on the last two coaching staffs, I think it's fair for people to be hesitant. That said, I'm not really one of those people. Depending on FA and the draft, which I expect to go well, I think the Bears get atleast 8 wins and are in the hunt Week 16 for the WC.

I never said that the Bears could not make the playoffs. If I believed that then I wouldn't bother watching. But since we are in a complete rebuilding mode, I have to temper my expectations.

This staff is currently 0-0.

But some of these players have experienced losing, injury, and disappointment. While there are not a lot of holdovers from previous years, the roster remains generally young which gives an opportunity to set a new course.

With that said, there is reason for optimism, but Bears fans have usually had reasons to be optimistic only to have experience teach them to be very, very cautious with that optimism. Some of us look back on the Lovie years and see a lot of missed opportunities because we basically made a couple of critical mistakes in that time and ruined the chance of winning another title with those amazing defenses.

So, I'll say that until further notice, this staff has A LOT to prove to convince me it's even good because only one thing matters. Wins. If they do not win, they will be out of a job. Until I see the the staff generate more victories, there is no point in being overly optimistic.

I cannot play any instruments of the musical. The brother of my father very famous in place I was born. He tour all sides of country playing a bicycle as instrument of the musical. Many of the peoples laugh in beginnings. Many of the beautiful music drown the laughter. Many of the peoples sad at his death. That is Circle of the Life!

This ain't catchin' on, kid. Time for another alt . . .

They sure are. But are they good enough to overcome a General Manager who's 14-and-34? . . .

I think Ryan Pace's record is a little overblown by some because the team was just really, really bad. My criticisms of Pace have more to do with his Free Agent selections and Kevin White. Otherwise, he's done a great job adding a lot of talent to the roster.

It is the type of change we have wanted, but the proof will be in the results,

I have had the same feeling when Rex Gossman came in the second half of the Atlanta Game, I felt the same way when the Bear traded for Jay, I felt the same way when we fired Lovie and moved on to an "offensive mind".

My point is I will wait for the results, BUT I am excited!!

I understand tempering expectations, that's why I didn't say Bears ARE a playoff team, just that they have a chance and more than likely they will progress since the team has been injecting youth at almost every position. Bears are completely rebuilding at WR and maybe Corner depending on Fuller staying. Every other position already has some youthful talent.

I got 2 questions for you.

How good do you expect this staff to be?

Is this staff better or worse then you expected?

Me. 1. Really good, like top 5 staff.
2. Better then I expected. Better then I dreamed.

1. This is a really impressive staff, anyone who denies that is just trying to shit on it without reason.

2. WAY BETTER than I expected. The position coaches on offense really impressed me and keeping Fangio and Donatel was a huge win.

The coaching staff was a win for the Bears. It was nice to see.

Im excited for now because i see the potential, but will stay calm until maybe mid way through next season.

I've no doubt the offense will be fresh and up to date, but have no clue on how Nagy will manage time and challenges and whatnots.

Optimistic though.
