Derrick Rose became the first Chicago Bull to make an all-star squad since Michael Jordan, and I expect he'll make it again this season. However, this year, he may have some teammates with him. Here's a look how I handicap the...

Probably only Rose will. I'd like Noah to, but we'll see.

I doubt Noah will make it. Rose is practically a lock, but I think Boozer will make it too - for he is the 3rd or 4th best PF in the East. But it's a less than 50% chance with Boozer... it depends a lot upon whether KG gets voted as a starter.

notable guards: Wade, Rose, Rondo, Johnson, Allen, Jackson, Nelson, Carter, Wall, Jennings
forwards: James, Stoudemire, Pierce, Bosh, Granger, Iguodala, Garnett, Boozer, Jamison, Josh Smith, Wallace
center: Howard, Horford, Bogut, Lopez, Noah

I would bet a lot of money that Noah doesn't make it... people should be talking about Boozer over him.

Rose-Yes
Boozer-Maybe
Noah-Maybe depending on if he doesnt miss any games. I thought him and Bogut both should have made it last year.
Deng-Maybe if he keeps playing the way he has lately,I'm glad Thibs got him to start shooting threes more now.

My understanding is Bogut wont be playing full minutes this year as he has a lingering injury (I read that headline somewhere). I forget that Horford is listed as a center...that pretty much eliminates any chance Noah gets baring an injury to someone else.

Rami put it best. Deng has absolutely no shot whatsoever. He probably doesn't deserve one either even with his improved play. He will not be voted in as a starter (hell Rose may not even be voted a starter given the Celtic love that's bound to help Rondo), and I doubt the coaches take him as one of their picks. Noah has a shot but I wouldn't bank on him. His rebounding is going to be up again this year, however most of his scoring comes through put backs and a sizable portion of that is going to go to Boozer. Boozer would have had a great shot if not for the injury. He'll be behind the 8 ball by the time he gets back.

It's not the end of the world though, the team should look good and that's what matters.

Rose is a lock but I don't know about the rest, Boozer is a All Star Caliber player when he is healthy

I think Noah will be the back up to Howard either him or Lopez now that Lee moved out West but it also depends on what Amare plays for the Knicks, if he is listed as a PF on the All Star ballot then Noah will have to battle Lopez, Bogut and Horford for that back up spot behind Howard on the Eastern Conference All Star Team, it also depends on who is the Coach for the Eastern Conference

by the way Deng should even be mention as a "Possible All Star" he has no CHANCE IN HELL!

LeBron is the starter obviously then you have Gerald Wallace (who is probably the most underrated player in the NBA), Andre Iguodala, Paul Pierce, Danny Granger just to name a few, I think they all would make it over Deng EASY!

Horford will always be picked over Noah as long as Horford is listed as a C. Sometimes the coaches dont even select a backup C and just take more forwards.

Noah not making the all-star team is not by any definition, a 'snub.'

C'mon BigP.....don't make me ask you what the N stands for.

al horford should not have made the all star game last year. Bogut, Lopez and Noah all deserved to make it over him.

There's a case for Bogut and Lopez but not Noah. Horford, Lopez and Bogut all finished the year with PERs 19.4 or higher. Noah was under 18. Lopez didn't play for a winning team and that's why he didn't make it, but Horford and Bogut were both parts of good teams, and Horford's team was a top contender in the East. Noah had a great year, but he wasn't an all star.
