I would bet a lot of money that Noah doesn't make it... people should be talking about Boozer over him.

Boozer is a long shot because of the injury. He will only have a month or two to make a case. Meanwhile Noah should put up nice numbers with Boozer out and more likely than not eased back into it.

Where are the Bulls fans in the Bulls forum?

Noah can make it, he is of that caliber. Yes, I do agree that Horford was better last year, and this year it's for him to lose, but the season hasn't started, and Noah is definately NOT going to make it? WTF???

I think the people who are really trying to sell Noah short, are the ones who are still bitter about the Melo scenario.

He's not better than Horford, Bogut, or Lopez. And don't forget, Stoudemire is very likely going to get voted in as the East starter given that he's in NY. I don't see how it's possible Noah breaks through that.

Such as the people who think that Noah helps the team more than Melo.

Why do fans have to take one side on the Noah/Melo trade? The fact is we have one and not the other. Get over it.

So last years All-Stars should automatically be handed the votes for this year? Thats brilliant and saves us a lot of time. Hell, Iverson should be a starter again. Who cares where he's playing, just give him the title of NBA All-Star 2011. It only makes sense.

BTW... where did Stat come from? He is not a center, nor does he play center. I don't think Amare will get voted in for the center position either.

Stoudemire was voted in as the starting center last year. Even if he's not this year, he's a big and that will hurt Noah's chances. They may only take one or two centers and I don't see Noah being voted in as a starter and I don't see him being the one guy the coaches pick.

Yes, last year, not this year, not at center. Noah has a chance to make the All-Star team THIS year. Whether you see it or not, he has a chance to make it. You brought up the argument of all the NY voters helping Amare, well why the hell are the Bulls fans here ready to give up? Last time I checked, Chicago is not a small market.

I guess I'd also wonder why this is so important? I mean, in the end....who gives a shit? The only person it probably would make a difference to is Noah, who might receive a bonus for making the ASG.

I mean, I can't remember the last time I've actually watched any of the NBA all-star weekend. Even when Jordan was wearing a Bulls uniform.

Well to me, this is kind of important. I am a Bulls fan, and not a bandwagoner that only likes the good players and the team when they are winning(I'm not pointing fingers either).

I come to CCS, and I'm active in this forum, because I thought there would be more homers to cheer the team with. Instead of guys cheering on their team, they rip on their team... at a point, where we will likely have the best non-Jordan Bulls team ever. To me, that's one GINORMOUS WTF. And I have been watching the Bulls, since before Jordan, so to me, all of this non-support is just a low-blow.

I think your priorities are kind of fucked.

I don't know why you're assuming they won't list him at center again. They might list him at power forward, but if they do that it's only because it would be near impossible to get him more votes than Howard, in which case Noah isn't getting in anyway.

As for the vote, NY will be able to push Amare much more than Chicago can for Noah. It's just the way it is. That's not to mention that Amare already has a built in voting base outside of his city that Noah doesn't have. Amare has been voted in as a starter multiple times. It's doubtful that such will ever be said about Noah regardless of his skill.

This is all beside the fact that Noah hasn't yet played at an all-star level. He wasn't last year despite having a really good year, and to just assume he makes another huge jump to playing like an all-star is naive. He has limited offensive game and the all-star selections generally go to big offensive producers. Also keep in mind that he'll be losing some rebounds and put back scoring to Boozer once he returns. Even if Noah improves considerably as a player, he's not likely to increase his numbers accordingly due to the new talent on the team.

It's just not a recipe for an all-star birth. I'd love to see Noah there too but that's just us Bulls fans dreaming at this point.

A homer is not something one should strive for.

Homers don't do a service to anyone.

They do to me. Not all of them, and I don't want to roll up everyone into a label, but it would be nice to see more people around here happy that basketball is back in Chicago, yet.... at this point and time I would take a homer versus a nobody critic.

You can be a fan and be critical of your team. It saves everyone from half-baked commentaries like Joakim Noah is an all-star caliber player.

Where's the guy that saves me from reading half-baked comments of those who say he has no chance to be an all-star?

The strange part about all of this, is that I never said I think he will make it. I only debate that he does have a chance. And that I'm disappointed, that of all people, Bulls fans are the ones saying he has no chance.

He doesn't have a chance. Even if he is vastly improved over last year the politics of the all-star selection will prevent him from making the squad.

The accusation wasn't that you think Noah will make the team, but that you think he's an all star caliber player, which he isn't. Noah is a very good player but you overrate him because he's a Bull.
