It's perfectly OK for people to talk about the possibility of Howard coming to Chicago. It's not like there are many people who really think it's likely to happen. If that were the case, your admonishment would have traction. The best thing for you to do is simply to not click a thread that references Howard if it bothers you that much.

And regarding what you said about destroying chemistry, it's not really known what would be given up in this hypothetical scenario, so it's hard to speculate on the issue of chemistry.

It doesn't piss me at all. I'm just being honest. No problem here with there being thread on the topic. I'll talk about it because I'd enjoy having him on the team likd....I'm just being a realist. Nothing more.

I do hear you though...I'll slow down the rant. :yep:

Hey guys!

Remember that time Nike didn't want Carmelo going to New York because they already had a big time Nike star in town in Amare?!

Oh wait.

Hey guys. Remember that time when Nike pretty much dominates the "shoe" industry anyway?

Nike is Walmart to Adidas' K-Mart.

This is true. The difference in saturation between Nike and Adidas makes First Timers point ridiculous.

He's right in the sense that it's possible that Adidas doesn't mind (and he doesn't know that) but to compare Adidas to Nike is laughable.

And I'm sure Kmart will catch Walmart but shoving new stores into not as good markets rather than just going balls out after larger markets like Chicago where Rose is God right now.

Everytime the Bulls are slighted there is some conspiracy behind it.

Get over it. Howard doesn't want to come here(as of now). If he did Adidas wouldn't give two shits.

It is possible Adidas/Howard's agent has no hand in this at all (doubtful). It's also possible that they do. It's impossible to know for 100% sure.

Glad to see you're back to tarding up the boards. I was making the point that shoe companies don't care where the players go. Adidas runs national and international campaigns. Howard playing in Chicago or Dallas doesn't really matter outside of new jersye sales..that aren't tied to Adidas anyways.

I love how I'm told I don't know something yet Rami's conspiratorial shit is acceptable when there is no proof and it's nothing more than the ramblings of an ass hurt Bulls fan.

Wow.

Great stuff!

If you're an agent where do you want your player to go? The bigger market or smaller market?

If you're the shoe company do you want your player to go to the bigger market team with the MUCH better national and international fan base or the smaller market because Dirk doesn't already wear Adidas?

Spend 2 seconds thinking about it then get back to me.

You don't know this. It's quite possible that Adidas has a bias in that it sees that it has very limited super star representation compared to Nike and that it needs to maximize it's position by spreading it around. There are arguments that can go both ways on this. Just because Nike doesn't care, that doesn't mean that Adidas is in the same position. Once again, the two companies have different levels of saturation/scale.

Im not addressing his conspiracies. Generally speaking, Rami is a clown. But he has a point here. I'm addressing your flawed reasoning.

Adidas already has the Chicago base covered. The gains they could make in shoe sales by Dwight Howard going there would be minimal compared to other large bases.

You should have stopped here.

There is no flaw.
You lose.

Way to not answer the question.

There is a flaw. You're making a generalization as though it can be assumed, when this is not true. Nike cares less about who plays where. That doesnt mean Adidas feels the same way. When two sides are competing and one has the advantage of size/scale, the strategies and tactics are often different. Aside from that, even if Nike and Adidas had the same level of saturation, they're run by different people who have their own biases.

You should just give up. Your reasoning here is garbage.

Once again, Adidas is a global company. China is a market that heavily values winning. It's possible that Adidas sees this as a reason for why it would be good to have Howard and Rose on the same team. Adidas is a global company and these players are global entities. You can't just assume it's purely about pinning down specific cities.

There are a range of possibilities that give arguments to both sides. No one knows with certainty where Adidas' biases lie. Stop relying too much on a speculative article that was written by Yahoo. It made some valid points but it was merely speculation and it was also too narrow in scope.

That's a good point. However, in my gut, I still feel as though Adidas and the people making money off of Howard (and perhaps even Howard himself) would rather see him go to an uncovered NBA base (i.e. Brooklyn/NY or Dallas [may have appeal to small markets, as well]).

In my mind, there seems as though there would be more of a high-risk high-reward with Rose and Howard teaming up in an already covered NBA base. Yes, like you said, China highly values winning and the payoff could be huge if a championship(s) occurred. However, the risk comes in the fact that no championship may come at all. And, even if they did, it might take a long time to see big pay-off from that.

That's your butt being hurt.

If the Bulsl were a consistant top tier team with those two that would be enough for China.

It's not solely dependent upon rings.

But keep being simple minded.

Just like Kevin Martin is an inefficient scorer.
Correct.

And just like you defined what an MVP really is.
Correct.

There isn't.

But nice try.

I've torn you to shreds by giving reasons for why it's flawed and the best you can do is come back with a "I'm right because I said so" comment.

You're comedy gold, dude.

You haven't torn shit to shreds. You agreed with a KMart to Walmart comparison then bought into more speculation.

You're continuing the same string of Special person postings that you've had since you've been here.

You "shred tearing" argument is Adidas isn't Nike.

Awesome.

Neither is Nintendo.

Who cares. You have no "proof" that Adidas wouldn't care based on any relative market comparison. Nike is another shoe company. They don't care. The best comparison you have is Kmart/Walmart and the fact that you can't even say for sure that Adidas can't care?

:smh:

You keep trying and you keep failing.
