Cutler had a winning record until Trestman, yeah. he's just had too many cooks in the kitchen throughout his Bears tenure. no other QB would succeed under those conditions. he's done some brilliant things and some shitty things. I maintain that he's like damaged goods at this juncture. he needs a clean slate elsewhere.

to say he won't win anything on another team is probably not true. Hoyer's playing mistake-free football and giving the stat mongers a lot of shit to beat off to and they're discounting him like he's tablescraps.

it's cool. whatever. today was a fun game to watch. I couldn't say the same preseason game 3 and weeks 1-3.

What "brilliant things" has he done though? Name one.

He's never had a game even close to this last game and it still ended in a loss. That's the reality of the matter.

Problems extend much deeper than QB on this team, that's for sure. But the performance put on today should be eye opening. If not... well, you're a football fool.

he's a backup..to be a closer he would have had to see his number 1 WR in the end zone alone instead of throwing it to the triple covered greenhorn....but he didn't...

but at least he didn't throw it to the other team like Cuntler would have. hell if Jay was in the game we probably would not have been in the game at that moment. Jay would have fumbled 3 times on 9 sacks (which of course would have been blamed on the oline ... not Jay staring down one reciever) and 2 interceptions.

yet if Cutler had a game like Hoyer did today ... you would probably be ready to induct him into the hall of fame or at the very least ready to give him another 126 million dollar contract.

Adam Hoge is reking you guys when he's writing article. Idk if he's a cutty fanboy, but he speaks fucking truth.
But.. But.. Stats!

What’s crazy is that even though the Bears put up 522 yards of offense, they were actually only in the red zone three times Sunday, settling for field goals twice. The reasons for drives stalling out are widespread, ranging from penalties to poor decision making to odd play-calling. Once again, the Bears’ run-pass ratio was questionable, as rookie Jordan Howard only received 16 carries despite running for 118 yards, an average of 7.4 yards per carry. By comparison, quarterback Brian Hoyer threw the ball 43 times, and only some of those throws can be attributed to playing catch-up late. At one point — long before they were running out of time — the Bears only had 14 rushes to 29 passes, a ratio that simply isn’t acceptable with how good Howard has looked in his first two starts.

And then there’s Brian Hoyer.

"For the third straight game, Hoyer topped 300 yards passing, clearing that mark easily with 397 yards Sunday. And for the second straight week, he posted a passer rating of 120. Yet in those three games, the Bears offense has put up only 17 points, 17 points and 23 points — against three defenses (the Cowboys, Lions and Colts) who rank in the bottom half of the league. With the pass protection Hoyer is getting — and the accompanying rushing attack — don’t you think Jay Cutler would have scored more points Sunday against the Colts?"

3 games
1000+ yards
6 TDs
72% completion rate
0 INTs
1 fumble lost.

You think THIS is what we need to get rid of in order to win?

Stats are stupid...
Jay has a TD, 2 picks (one for six), fumble lost, 0 wins and is taller... WTF

To be fair, I think the penalties killed us. Hoyer's only mistake in my book is ignoring Alshon

its also probably worth noting the 2 missed field goals on those drives.

he's not exactly Mr. 3 and out, which is an asset in addition to not pissing the ball away or getting sacked repeatedly. he has one fumble from awkwardly falling forward right on his hand that was holding the ball. that's a "shit happens" play. not uppz the ball got knocked out of my hand by a defender again fumble.

The QB has a great game and we still lose to s bad team. This teams problems run a lot deeper then the QB

I've said this for several months now.

it's easier to say Jay Cutler's a piece of shit or that Brian Hoyer actually sucks despite his stat line... because hey, it's convenient sometimes to say that stats are bullshit. except all those other times when stats are used to prove points or something.

if a majority of us weren't in the Chicago area I'd say 7 out of 10 CCS posters **** sheep semi-professionally.

despbro. most of those guys don't play from behind. that's why you don't see Rodgers in the list.

quite certain that was discussed at CBMB or here lol

cause they play on teams that play with defenses that aren't sivs that require 4th qtr touchdowns as frequently as the Bears.

again 500 total yards and only 23 points. you all cry when Cutler games with 300+ yards of offense score 23 points. So which is it? It was a loss on the standings, meant absolutely nothing. He needed to convert that last drive to make the day special and he petered out. oh well, like I said, most likely why Hoyer has been on six teams in eight years. No Mr. clutch in him.

no, it's all Cutler's fault. Let's don't lose focus here Jay on the defensive side, all on him. Ask the baiters in here.

the results were exactly the same. you don't think Gould was missing field goals when Jay was in? hahahahahaahahahahaha, why is he gone? D'OH.

No excuses for Cutler, but they flow fast and furious with a back up. NFL baby, today's your day and Hoyer blew it on the last drive.

Why do you continue to post? You've made it incredibly obvious you don't have a brane. We get it.
