Welp there it is boys everyone off the wagon. Season over.
Where the hell you getting that from? He's listed at 197.He doesn't yet qualify as a big body at 164 lbs. Tall yes, big, no.
Right. Shaw and Nylander are much bigger, and deserving of being on the power play.

Fourth paragraph from the bottom:
Why the Blackhawks are turning it over to the kids this season
The timelines for some top prospects appear to have been accelerated. We check in with GM Stan Bowman and other players on the decision.www.espn.com
If he really is 197, he is not playing like 197 yet, which was why another year away would not have hurt him. This whole Dach thing is Stan showing he made the right choice in not taking Byram, even thought he dealt away a top 4 defenseman in the process.Where the hell you getting that from? He's listed at 197.
That is really the only place I've seen that, and as tater said, BSPN not so great. who knows where she got that from but even articles back from after the draft list him at pushing 200.Fourth paragraph from the bottom:

That was why I was looking at the world juniors roster, they usually are more accurate for the international tournaments. I remember when Charles Barkley was listed at 6'4 for the olympics, same as Michael Jordan. But they used the 197 for Dach too. My bigger concern was the concussion and the fact he does not have much of a neck.I thought that they were drafting Byram when Joker was traded, and when they took Dach I was surprised that they didn't go with Dylan Cozens if they wanted a big forward. Only time will tell if they made the right choice, but Dach is playing well so far.
They put Dach with Kane and D-Cat which did result in the two goals, but STILL did not get him out there for the Powerplay. I doubt that he is 164 or 197. He is probably in the 175-185 range. Either way him driving to the net directly helped Gus get his goal, and he had the secondary assist on Murphy's goal. Weather you consider him a 'big body' or not he should be on the ice with a man advantage.

I mean, some of it could be that this was the 4th game in 7 days and the schedule fucktastrophe from the Europe games is going to start catching up to them now? I don't know. Hopefully it's just a solid one off. There were a lot of the same issues the Hawks displayed in October in last night's game. Hawks looked simply outmatched, as Carolina's transition and speed game dominated them. Gus once again had a crap night, with the exception of the goal, but that was after being responsible for two of Carolina's. You can't lose the puck at the blue line like that on the first goal and let your guy get behind you like that on the third one.
Perhaps it was just the fact that the Hawks have played a lot of hockey this past week and they were gassed, but they looked like they were skating in quick sand compared to the Canes.
I hope someone fights Aho next game. There needs to be a response after what he did to our best player late in game. I'm glad Kane/Toews confronted him at the end of the game, but that isn't enough -- Kane could have been seriously injured on that play and the season could have essentially been lost right there. If that makes me a meatball, so be it, but a message needs to be sent to both Carolina and the rest of the league that the Hawks won't tolerate that.
Dach is really impressing me and it's essential he stays at the center spot. His transitioning from defense to offense is solid and he already has pretty good habits as far as being responsible defensively and back-checking -- those will only improve if he stays at the position and continues to develop there. The Murphy goal is a prime example of this, as Dach began the play by back-checking, winning the puck by lifting the stick of the Cane forward, joining the rush and chipping the puck to Kane, who found Murph. I was iffy this kid would stay up past the 10 games (partly because I thought the Hawks wouldn't want to blow the 1st year of his ELC, but I digress), but he's starting to turn me into a believer.
