If it was a missile... where did it go, where did it land? If the video is being taken from a news helicopter, why are they only releasing 10 seconds of it. You'd thing a news-copter would be better equipped to get a better video, both in length and quality.... like my dick.

I thought I read somewhere that the camera was fixed on it for several minutes.

I dont recall the status of the ruskie BNs being sea worthy and the Chinks only have two sea worthy (Xia & Jin Class).....the Xia I want to say is still being converted to a GN and the Jin I think only 1 or 2 have been built. Trust me, on this, if any foreign BN came that close to our shore, opened its missile tubes and launched, it was on the bottom within minutes of launching. There area older BNs out there, but they are LOUD and easy to tail. I just know from personal experience of what I have seen first hand, that video shows something moving at very slow pace to be an ICBM, and at an odd trajectory for the same.

How much of the Russian sub fleet is actually seaworthy? everytime I see a pic of Russian subs they are docked and rusty as hell.

I was literally just on that page. It was their torpedo technology I was thinking of, not there sub technology. Apparently Iran has similar torpedoes that its speculated Russia supplied them with the technology.

I had that question too, and here is the exact answer I got from a literal "Rocket Scientist" (He's an Engineer, specialty Rocket Propulsion) here at work...."Hey Chief, ever heard of sunshine?? Seen it shine off of metal???"

I thought it was a plane too, but I question the contrail as well. It seems rather huge and odd. The glow was the sun reflecting off the back. Lets be honest, I really believe that is a missile was fired off that close to American shores, more then a few satellites woulda been watching it.

Contrails expand as the engines move away from them. Its just condensation that starts out in a concentrated cylindrical shape.

Also, wouldn't a plane have been on radar, and when news agencies were barraging the air force and navy and they had no answers for them? Come on, I am hardly one for conspiracy theories, but simply dismissing it as a plane and closing the book with this many plot holes is too convenient in my book.

One of the stupidest things I've read at least all week:

On Tuesday, the US Defense Department initially announced that it had no idea what created the vapor trail, but stressed that they have “absolutely no evidence that a missile was fired.”



They also offered assurances that whatever happened there posed no threat to America.

Yeah we don't know what it is, but we know it's not a threat. Definitely not a threat. And people actually buy into this bullshit. "Well they wouldn't lie to us, why would they do that?" Lying is child's play. Not even a second thought.



This is probably one of the many, many things, that we're never going to get the answer on. We'll get an "answer" but we won't get the answer. All they really have to do to tune the majority of people out on this and onto to whatever other "news story" is up ahead is to give to us a simple answer, right or wrong doesn't matter.

I happen to know someone that works in Sandiego. Apparently they are looking for a Sub and have been on high alert since the incident. Appears they don't believe it was a plane either.



There was in incident not to long ago where the Carrier Group Kitty Hawk was out and there was a Chinese Sub "within the group" for over an hour before detected.



Would not surprise me in the least if it were a Russian or Chinese Sub.



Certainly wouldn't surprise me if they lied and tried to cover something up either.

A missile would show up on radar too. Funny, no airport is showing up fast moving objects either.....hhhhmmmm is it a stealth missile???????

First off, that's a pretty huge contrail. That would have to be a damn big plane. I can't say I've ever seen a contrail that large before. That also doesn't look like any jet contrail I've ever seen before... That appears to be a single, large plume of smoke to me. It's also a very thick plume. Aren't most contrails double plumes, and don't they dissipate pretty quickly? Second, if it was a plane, wouldn't they be able to tell us exactly what plane it was? All flights are tracked on radar and need clearance to take off, right? Wouldn't the airport it took off from know about it too, if it was in fact a plane? Especially a plane that large?



My theory? The government was testing some new missile, probably fired from a ship or sub, and are fully aware of what that is and where it came from. Seems like the most likely explanation given everything we've heard about it thus far. If it was really a missile of unknown origin, fired that close to our shore, I imagine our military would have been put on high alert. Something like that would probably also increase our DEFCON level as well, would it not?



Where the **** did it go? Did it just disappear, or what?
