No doubt about that, I lived near 41 and Pine Ridge for 2 years...they roll up the streets at 10PM(including weekends).

You would probably like Sarasota better, just as quiet but not too far from Tampa.

+1 on Sarasota. I like it over there.

Lots of New Yorkers in SW FL as well...and they drive like shit!.

**** yea they did. Every winter it was the same thing. The snowbirds arrive and the roads turn into a shit show

+1 on Sarasota too. I only went up there a few times but liked it a lot.

I want to ammend my answer. I know I said Phil Jacksons ranch in MT but I want to add a cabin in the middle of nowhere in south central Alaska. Just peace, quiet and fresh moose steaks for dinner over the fire
