If I had a redo I keep justin fields and relegate the bears to the Canadian Football League.

Then caleb gets drafted by the hometown cummanders and has as good if not better of a season as Jayden

If anything, if Caleb has IT, watching Jayden should massively drive him to his goals of greatness. Similarly to Kobe woking tirelessly to be better than Iverson and TMac early in his career.

We've already seen IT in the 4th quarters. His stats were barely behind jaydens in 4th quarters this year.

Its not his fault the bears picked him. Unlike Fields/Mitch he's showing arm flashes that no QB in my lifetime has, not even cutler.

Joe Montana (like they wanted to)
Dan Marino
Troy Aikman
Tom Brady
Aaron Rodgers
Patrick Mahomes

Just keep nailing HOF Qb on rookie deals evenly 5-7 years or so and you're franchise would be set......pretty simple stuff

Good points. He has certainly looked the part in clutch moments.

I think where Poles messed up last draft was taking a wr #9 instead of the true Left Tackle prospect in Fashanu. Now, they're looking at taking OT prospects that really project to OG, not ideal.

I wanted to trade back for picks. As we can see this was a good draft for qb.

That said, I'd still pick CW if available.

I would have traded my fourth outfielder and third best reliever at AAA plus a few prospects in the farm system.
After using these assets to acquire the #2, #3, #4 and #5 picks I would have drafted Williams, Daniels, Nix, Maye, and Penix.
The first four would each get their own quarter every game with Penix coming in to spell guys from time to time and give them a breather.

Our GM made the right pick — Caleb was viewed as the consensus #1.

That said, I had JD ranked #1 on my draft board…. and after what he has shown, it is hard to argue that he would not be the consensus #1 pick if the draft were held today.

That said, Poles did not have a crystal ball. Nobody knew JD would be this good, this fast. At the time of the draft, Poles made the right choice in picking Caleb #1.
