This right now is 2005 all over again. Mitch looks like a 4th round rookie making his very first start. They could maybe get to the playoffs if the defense stays healthy and they get some breaks like today. But, they have no chance once they get there.

Even if you disagree about Cutler, you have to realize what happened in 2005 and even 2006.

2006 is better than us on offense though because A) Grossman had an arm and there was a chance at good games or atleast stretching the field and B) the offensive line was vastly superior to this o line.

I seem to remember, while Cutler was with the Bears, plenty of people were yelling, we just need a QB that doesn't turn the ball over at break-neck rates so the D can win games.

Trubs hasn't been great with the turnovers, but he's not at Cutler levels (thus far. No jinx).

I actually agree with you. The one year Cutler had a good OC (Gase) in 2015 the roster was total shit and he played well anyway. 2010 and 2011 were good years for him with horrible receivers and O-lines. He had a tendency to self destruct and go wild throwing picks but he was much better than Trubisky.

At this point i'd take 31 other QBs over trubisky though. I think he just means Cutler wasn't even good but would still be better than this.
