That was exactly how the D should play in that situation. Protect the sideline, keep them in bounds, take away the big play.

You don't trade away your next two first round picks to put the defense over the top if you're expecting your 2nd overall pick QB to be developmental level.

If you can’t enjoy a solid Bears’ victory take a look in the mirror and ask yourself if you are a true fan. Some people enjoy coming on these boards and all they do is complain. The 4th quarter drive was a positive. It finally looked like Nagy and Trubisky were on the same page. Lots of misdirection, quick throws and then he gets him on the run for the TD.

Of course, but you also can't just allow them to throw the ball downfield for huge chunk plays either. I would rather they play normal defense and rush the passer to make Wilson get the ball out quicker for shorter completions. Ultra conservative almost never works with this team, and hasn't for years.
