Frolik looks like his Florida version. Can't finish.

Awful contract Stan gave him.

But I thought all was ok in the top 6 before the season started? I mean we got all grindy and tough this offseason....hows that working out? Did you hear the tidbit during the game about hits? yeah.....the hawks have been outhit in all but 1 game..........so much for the grindy guys huh.

anyway....another tough game to watch.

Frolik- hate watching him
Toews- I dont know what the **** is up with him
brunette- on the PP really Q? boxed out in front of the net, cant skate, cant pass..his so called board winning battles is a bit overrated by the brunette advocates...."he is on pace...." yeah on pace to be done
crawford- some silly goals lately
stalberg- actually looks ok due to comparing him to some of the other asshat players not playing.
carcillo- the oh mighty carbomb is starting to wear on my nerves

I'm not enjoying Frolik at all. Hawkwriter is high on him and I'll gladly listen to him and agree that Frolik plays a decent game, but it's just not paying any dividends. He's incredibly frustrating to watch crash around and put weak shots on. He's plenty competent, smart and is strong defensively, but he's not getting it done.

Toews was drunk. No other explanation. Was this the worst game we've ever seen him play? Very likely.

Carcillo is starting to look like the Carcillo I expected. Him Hossa and Kane aren't putting on the freak show that they were early on so he's getting frustrated and playing like a sack of shit. Between his few manic shifts and a fight where he got his ass handed to him, I had distinct Adam Burish flashbacks. That's not good.

Olesz hasn't even played in back to back games in the regular season here.

How the hell do you expect him to do anything when Q has played Scott's garbage ass more than him?

I don't expect huge numbers from Rusty.

But at least the guy can play hockey compared to that 6'8" useless pylon Q plays.

He had 2 shots tonight. More than Toews & Fossil Brunette combined of 1.

Frolik was a 20+ goal scorer in Florida while he was in his teens...

Also, you said "I never said he was great. Quit making shit up." Which is beyond ironic because you claim that everyone here thinks Stalberg/Brunette/etc are "awesome" when I still haven't seen a person on here say that.

I think Frolik is going to be a 20/40 player at his best. I completely agree that the guy just can't finish and a lot of it has to do with his release/shot overall. He just doesn't have a good one. Look at Toews/Kane/Sharp and their release and overall shot, it just puts Frolik to shame.

Luckily, he does everything else right - and at 23 years old which is important to remember. Solid on the PK, great on the backcheck, high hockey IQ, good passer, solid on the boards, always take a hit to make a play, and more.

He is the type of player that will frustrate people, and I understand that. However, to me he is the type of player that will never hurt the team because of all the small things he does and his complete game. While he might not help them win on a bad night, he will never be a player who plays so poorly that he doesn't help the team in some way (mostly defensively).

I think it is important to remember that this team is still 8 - 4 - 3. No need to freak out. I realize the last two games aren't what anyone would want to see from the Hawks, but things can easily be "turned around". This is still a highly skilled and on any given night a top end player can step up and carry this team. Unfortunately, the Hawks "star" players haven't been playing very well the last two games, and the Hawks need these guys to be their best players night in and night out.

Sharp and Toews isn't working so well, so I suppose seeing if Sharp and Kane work better and can spread the effective offensive threat out a little more then it is something that needs to be tried out.

Agree with this.

The hardest part about the last 2 games is just how bad and uninspired they've looked. I'll take losses, even tough overtime and shoot out losses. They're unavoidable. But the Hawks were absolutely asleep against Vancouver and St Louis.

Like I pointed out in another thread- the Kings just dropped 5 straight and the Wings dropped 6 in a row earlier. Everyone around here will agree that the Wings and Kings (heh) are really good teams.

The Hawks have dropped 3, with 2 of them being in really poor fashion.

Not the end of the world, but still frustrating the way they went down.

Hey Q, Scott really brought that 'physical' presence as he proceeded to get knocked on his ass by Vladimir Sobotka.
