Every time we leave points out on the ice our backs are pressed harder against the wall. We keep putting more pressure on ourselves to have to go on a huge points tear to get back into the playoff picture. There is a serious chance that the Stanley Cup Champions are playing golf this April. I have been waiting for this team to finally click and shore up our game all season, it has not happened yet and I see no reason to think that it will at this point.
I guess the bright side is there is enough potential on this team that if we can sneak in as the 7th or 8th seed and everyone plays to potential that we could make a deep playoff push. Injuries are not an excuse now, other teams are banged up as well and even when we were fully healthy we were dropping games to inferior opponents anyway.
