Oh yeah, and Phoenix's special teams are just lethal.

I wish that was the Hawks' biggest problem tonight.

The thing is, is that in that case the series might devolve into which teams' specialty team manages to put anything at all together. If both stay equally inept, then in blackjack parlance you have a push this round...

I don't know that the Hawks' powerplay is going to get on some super-hot streak and get on a roll ... they are sort of like having a lawn mower with a dead spark plug -- you keep pulling on the starter rope and a sputter- then nothing... if the other side's does anything more than that- that = big trouble barring a defensive meltdown on the part of the original Winnepeg Jets.

Of course one has to find info from Phoenix sources (preferrably ones that know something about hockey ... which is tough enough to find in the Chicago papers) in order to further work out the liklihood of that happening.

Hey, I don't like the lack of a power play and I know everyone says this..

But do you remember the Bruins power play last post season?

Holy diver was it bad.

Now if Crawdad will just play like Tim Thomas, all will be fine.

We did manage well over 40 shots, which is a positive. PHX had 26+ blocked shots if I read the stat line right.

All and all, I don't want to blame the refs for the to many men non-call, but it was fucking terrible. Even when we look bad, we are still in it against the league's hottest team, and I think we win this series.

That's the thing. Crawford is no Tim Thomas.

not being drastic at all Dews, Oduya is just another soft Hawks d-man.

didn't/don't get the love affair with a guy who isn't that good.

I'll tell you one thing...Blackhawks defense has improved big time since Oduya showed up. Considering he is 1 of 6 back there, I think he is a pretty big reason for that improvement.

Blackhawks D had a lot of in zone turnovers last night, they need to correct that. You saying he isn't that good means absolutely zero around here, actually it usually means the opposite.
