Closing with Rose, Snell, Butler, Gibson, and Pau should be good enough to play good defense on Atlanta's players without relying on Rose and Butler to score all the points.
I have this feeling Noah would play then for defensive purposes on Horford/Millsap.

Bulls do have a size advantage big time in the front court, but in 2 games this season that point has been moot. And the 3rd game likely won't tell us anything either.

Really hard to tell how Atlanta is going to be.

We may see some offense/defense with regards to Noah and Gasol, but I think we've seen Gasol close more games. This isn't a pure defensive lineup mind you. That's the beauty of it imo.

Well nor should the Bulls use a pure defensive lineup.. It worked in 2011 because the Hawks were the Hawks and Rose could score at will in that series. Both teams have a much better makeup now, so I think a mixture of both will do. The Bulls main concern I think should be stopping the Hawks x-factor in Korver.

Probably have Snell chase him through the screens. Dunleavy will be on him early. You really just have to make sure the screener's guy is helping out so that his defender can get over the screen...which is a huge problem if Niko or Pau is that guy.

Lopez has been on a solid stretch against better frontcourts of late. He's probably as healthy, as he has been in two years. That IMO will be our biggest issue. And with our offensive rebounding problems, could make for another game where we win every non-reb stat category and still lose.

Thibs needs to settle for a 9 man rotation.. This team is too good for an 8 man rotation. He needs to look at Pops and see how he has run the 10 man rotation the past two years with success.. Thibs himself ran with 10 guys in 2010-11, so its not like Thibs doesn't know this. And given the Hinrich love, throw him in there and you have your 10 man rotation.

Solid post:)

Rose's midrange game is actually pretty good. He needs to get back to that.

I'm kinda sad that Jimmy hasn't been able to lockdown Joe Johnson since that one game where he held him to like 3-14 shooting or something.

lol 0.8 3s attempted per game to 4.1. That's the lowest it's been since. I guess in his defense, he did have his best year shooting the 3 that MVP year (at a gaudy 33% lol).

He needs to watch some Iverson footage. AI took a lot of jumpers...but they were mostly midrange jumpers where he was pretty good. He could make 3s, but didn't live there. Rose needs to do the same. Or at the very least, take better 3s. Some of the 3s he takes are just dumb shots.
