Westgoat played matador defense against rose the last time they played. This better change if the thunder want to prove themselves as championship caliber team.

Philly went purely BPA while completely ignoring their depth and the importance of a dominant wing player in today's game. I loved Hinkie's first trade of Holliday for Noel and a 1st, but I felt like he could have been more creative after that and avoided a log jam of good front court players who can't play together. It's not too late to trade one of them, but it could have happened quicker. Sucking bad enough to land in the lottery doesn't assure you anything. There's usually not a bonafide franchise guy in a given draft, and even if you're the worst team in the league, you may not (probably not) get the 1st pick, and chances of drafting a LeBron, Duncan, Curry, Kobe etc is extremely unlikely.

That said, luring a marquee free agent is equally as difficult. Most of these guys want to play in a certain city or with certain teammates, and a majority of the real franchise guys, they stick with their first team. At least for one more contract after their rookie deal.

yup, exactly. this is the dilemma the bulls find themselves in. I mean currently in the NBA theres what, maybe 5 guys that are true franchise changers? so finding the next one via the draft is extremely difficult and via free agency just as difficult to steal one away from another organization

Yeah, it's tough sledding man. I understand fan frustration and the natural urge to re-write history looking through 20/20 revisionist glasses. Do I think Garpax are perfect? No. On a personal level, I wouldn't ever want to be alone with either of them. They both seem like stubborn, arrogant, and self important douche bags. That said, I think they're pretty damned good at their job. On the personal level? Well, that's their weak point, I would say....but if you look at it objectively, landing the type of player the Bulls need right now -which is a bonafide franchise player- the opportunities and chance are extremely remote to find one. I think there's going to be at least another 2 seasons that Bulls fans are going to be disappointed and we're going to be stuck with the same low ceiling team. After that, it's anyone's guess, but the avenues in which to acquire a LeBron, Curry, Duncan, CP3 etc, won't present themselves often...and when they do, you have to be lucky enough to be in position to land one of them.

OKC's defense isn't really as good as I thought it'd be. Fortunately for OKC, the Bulls offense can be just as bad as I thought it could be. With luck they can get back to how they played in the first half the first quarter...that was some quality ball.

Any time Kanter is off the floor, OKC is an elite defensive team.
