Our D was pretty good all game long and we made a lot of big plays on defense in the 4th. Big plays that had nothing to do with Smith shooting 20 footers.

Laugh all you want about the teams I mentioned, but those three with the Bulls are going to be getting seeds 1-4 this year (throw in Boston if you please) in the East this year. I put up a quote from a buddy of mine earlier in the season and it got laughed at that the Bulls are built to win in the regular season and not the post season. Regular season vs. Playoffs against Miami last year kind of shows what I mean.

I'm just laughing at the Knicks. They could finish with the #1 seed, but the first team they play in the playoffs that can play good D they will lose to. We are one of those teams that can play good D.

Of course that quote is going to get laughed at. You're on a Bulls forum. There's alot of homers here (As it is a Chicago forum, no offense to anyone here, its just is what it is), there's also lots of people who choose to believe they'll take the next step this year. And there are plenty of people who put their hatred of Miami and LeBron ahead of what is reality. Of course for all we know how LeBron played against Dallas last season in the 4th is exactly how he plays against us this year in the playoffs. We simply don't know how LeBron is going to go.

Myself personally, This team is capable of getting to the Eastern Conference Finals again, but they have shown me nothing to say that they will be able to beat Miami this year either. I keep hoping that Noah and Boozer show us something and other than Noah against LAC and Boozer against Memphis for one half, they really haven't shown us much of anything yet. We also have yet to see how Rip really fits into this team as well and the injury will set him back for now.

As for 6 games into the season, yes you are right. Except I remember a thread started by some of the basketball genii on this forum bitching and moaning about MVP voting a week into the season.

And I participated zero in that thread because I thought it was stupid pointless arguing.

Well said. And I agree for the most part, though I do feel people pre-maturely crown teams as champs when they haven't really proven it yet. I feel going through the playoff run last season & losing to Miami the way we did will help us improve the way we approach them if we face them again in the post-season. I'm not going to sit here & say we have no shot at beating Miami because I don't feel that's the case at all. Maybe that make me a homer, maybe not, but completely dismissing our chances (like some posters & the majority of "experts" do) simply because we don't have 2 superstars seems equally as ignorant to me.
