I dont like people calling this a renewed rivalry either. If we see them in the playoffs, we win and it will be like that unless theres major changes to either team. Rivalries cant be one sided

Here's hoping he comes back.

He'll be back. Its the same injury he had his rookie year...This time we're lucky it isnt on his shooting end, thus effecting him less. It also happened early in the season compared to late when it happened his rookie year. He'll give him much needed rest in the body as well (as he's not playing 40 mpg a night). To me this gives Deng the much needed energy we're going to need in March and April. In a way, Deng's injury could be a blessing.

Uh Bulls-Pistons in the 1980's was considered a rivalry before the Bulls beat the Pistons in 91. The Pistons beat them 3 straight series before 91.

Why ask for a link near mid 4th qtr?

Anyways i never blamed the refs but i'll call out horrible calls, as i did with that Rose drive where he got hit and a couple of flops. Never blamed the game on anyone but the players when ive clearly said how bad certain aspects of their game was tonight and of course losing their two best and most versatile defenders.

I didn't? I asked for it 3rd quarter. I have class till about 8:30. I was watching it there and didn't save the link. Thanks for asking though.

Well when the Pacers beat us in a playoff series, we can call it a rivalry. i dont care if people called it one in the 90s or call whatever matchups rivalries.

Hmm interesting criteria you have. I believe Bulls-Knicks was considered a rivalry before the Knicks ever won either. I dont consider Bulls-Pacers a rivalry anymore than I do Bulls-Celtics. To me you have to go at it a few years in a row before its considered that.

Yeah at the very least play each other more than once in the playoffs during a stretch. Theyre a division "rival" but i really wouldnt consider a team like the Pacers a rival. Are the Hawks our rivals too? If anything i break my rule for the Heat because i honestly see them being in the ECF for the next few years. No i dont think anyone else has a shot besides our two teams. Plus we played 3 playoff series in what, 6-7 years? 05, 06 and 11?

Who cares? Every Cubs poster on here does. You said rivalries are not one sided. Well the Cubs-Cardinals is a pretty one sided rivalry. So just because it's trash to you, it doesn't count? Got it.

I forgot, we can't post anything unless you like it. Remember Fisch?

I'll come into game threads whenever I want. You were complaining about the refs, and I said it wasn't their fault. And your the one to talk about being a dick, look at your posts too.

I'm just glad the refs were on the Bulls' side in Games 1 and 2 last year when it mattered most.

I think a lot of people view rivalries in different ways. For example, I see the Pistons as our rivals no matter what... Just because they're in the same division, we have a long history with them and the whole Detroit-Chicago thing.

Some people may view the Pistons rivals only when both the Bulls and the Pistons are good. etc.

I said in my opinion, rivalries are not one sided, especially when youre basing it off one recent playoff series. If thats the case then we have rivalries with Miami, Atlanta, Indiana, Cleveland and Boston. Kind of gets watered down doesnt it? I didnt say my definition of rivalry is a fact and youre wrong did i? No. I just said i was tired of hearing about this growing rivalry with the Pacers. Sorry, Bulls are on to bigger things like the Heat, Heat and Heat and whoever the hell we'll see in the finals if we ever play them. Small fish dont fill me up.

Ha, you bring up Fisch and the injury thing. After explaining it a million times some people still dont get my take. You people sure love to reach for things just for the sake of argument and being butt hurt. i tell people to not speak in FACTS in regards to INJURIES. Make sense? Ehhh youre mad at me so probably not. You need something to grasp on to.

Yes i am a dick, when someone deserves it. Im not going to just pop in and tell people to stop blaming the refs(when no one even blamed them) they were critical of the calls, as posters were critical of the players and in a couple posters case(me being one) Thibs.

Yeah, Heat are the Bulls are real rivalry right now. Though the only holdovers from the 05 and 06 Heat are Wade and Haslem, the only hold overs from the Bulls are Deng, and... Deng...So I guess its an even comparison. But until this team establishes itself in playoff runs and plays these same teams again, Rivalries don't really exist.

Yeah thats true, it is just Deng, Wade and Haslem. But at least(to me) its still fresh. Deng playing like a STAR and dominating the old and beat up Heat feels like just yesterday. And i guess its easier when the two teams finished 1 and 2 in seeding last season...Looking forward, just looks like two dominating teams and i honestly at this point(baring health) can see either team win it all.

I don't think the Bulls-Pacers are rivals....right now. But the Pacers are a pretty solid team. I think it can be a rivalry if the Pacers continue to play well.

I know your take on the Fisch thing. I'm not saying I disagree with you, but when you tell people not to post certain things, it makes you come off like an ass.

Okay? You didn't blame the refs? Read your posts. I'm not mad at all.
