I feel kinda bad for Dusty Baker. Yeah he makes a lot of dumb decisions... but so does Madden. He literally can't catch a break.

You are out of your mind... . He basically ruined 2 phenoms.... Wood and Pryor..

Pitching them 120 pitches pluss.... multiple outings.

I don't see any way possible the Cubs can beat the Dodgers the way their pitching will be constructed. That goes for the starters after what happened yesterday and today as well as the bullpen which other than Davis is absolutely horrendous.

Yes he did. I am not arguing that he is a good manager. It's just that a lot of EXTREMELY close games that were basically a coin flip went against him. Like every single one.

Adios Dusty. Let's hope LA forgot how to play during their long layoff.

Nats blew it by having Harper up in 9th instead of Taylor

You can add this....every Cub pitcher in that game walked at least one batter.

If Kershaw doesn't win game 1 they are in trouble

We should get whacked on game 1 and no clue who will go on game 2

Cubs come back on Scherzer, Nationals win 9-8 in NLDS Game 5

WASHINGTON (AP) — Addison Russell drove in four runs, Wade Davis earned a seven-out save, and the Chicago Cubs reached their third NL Championship Series in a row by edging the Washington Nationals 9-8 in a thriller of a Game 5.
The defending World Series champion Cubs trailed 4-1 before scoring four runs in the fifth inning off two-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer. They then led 9-6 and held on, with the help of Davis' longest appearance since 2012 and a key pickoff by catcher Willson Contreras in a game that lasted more than 4½ hours and ended after midnight Friday. Davis struck out a swinging Bryce Harper to finish it off.
Chicago, which surpassed its total of eight runs in the first four games of the Division Series, advanced to face the Los Angeles Dodgers, who will start ace Clayton Kershaw at home in Game 1 of the NLCS on Saturday night.
For manager Joe Maddon and the Cubs, this was their fourth consecutive victory in a win-or-be-eliminated postseason game. That includes three straight to end the 2016 World Series, when Chicago trailed the Cleveland Indians 3-1 before forcing a Game 7 won by the Cubs in 10 innings.

Dusty should burn in hell for that... Just saying... I watch Wood and Pryor come up and Dusty and no one else fucked them both by blowing their arms out... Why do you think he will pull pitchers so quick now. He knows he fucked up. He should be sending those guys a check every month for being so stupid.

The longest Davis has pitched since beating the Nationals back in 2012...

All the pressure is on the favored Dodgers. Cubs are battle tested

CSN confirmed Lackey game 1 starter.

Nothing's been confirmed for game 1, and they're talking Quintana since he only threw 12 pitches today. Saying it's like a BP session.

My nlca rotation

Quintana (12 pitches today otherwise normal rest)
Lester (3 days rest after 60+ pitch relief outing?) But lackey/arrieta ready in pen
Hendricks (full rest)
Arrieta (extended rest)
Quintana (full rest)
Lester (full rest)
Hendricks (full rest)

I'd probably consider adding a bullpen arm (rondon) and remove a position player (happ or lastella) as we seem to be thin out there.....or remove someone who maddon won't use (Wilson or Lackey)
