Happ isn't better defensively than anyone

He is passible at best.

From this year to last:
192/198 AB
35/51 Hits
29/30 BB
65/63 SO

Basically he is the same guy. 15 hits is the difference between last year and this year.

45.2/52% Groundball So he is putting it on the ground more.
So it is really hard to pinpoint with him right now. He is going opposite field more. But it is cutting into his CF drives vs pull hitting.

Of what they have Bryant is still the best CF on the team.

On that.

Davis:
A+ .321/.406/.607 28 AB
AA: .258/.378/.371 62 AB

I think that they should push him up to Iowa at the ASG.

My vision is use Happ for trade bait. Add something with him. My opinion is Bote, Happ and Williams for Something.

Well looking at the worst teams:
Azl: Bumgarner: Injured. Makes 17M per until 2024. Well this has potential. Cubs would be taking on contract. I doubt the teams match up. Azl has little need for Happ or Bote.

Balt: Means. Injured. 3 years of control. Probably would pass. Balt would be looking for youth.

Texas. Kyle Gibson. Control for 2022. He would be the staff ace coming over. Honestly he has never been this guy before so I can see Texas going for a quick sale while he is a hot item. I could see a trade here.

The restr of the league are still with in 10 of .500. Det and Minn both are in a outburst. KC is in a bit of a free fall. So they might end up selling. Pitt I doubt the Cubs trade with.

So if KC goes sell mode. They have Danny Duffy in his final year. Mike Minor if Jed wants control.

So Duffy is 4-3 with a 1.85 ERA. Say the Cubs start with Happ. Soler has been a dud sense his 48 HR season. They could push him into full time DH with Happ in RF.

3B they have Dozier. .156/.226/.327 Bote would be a upg.

Williams takes over the innings. A team like KC is a team that makes deals like this to keep payroll under 100M vs winning games.
