Of course he's giving effort. It's just not good enough.
This isn't little league. People don't care about effort. He was given big money to perform in the playoffs Not give effort.
The bats aren't clicking. Needed him to come
out with great stuff and shut the series out.
He lasted 4 innings. He gave up and rbi single to a pitcher on an 0-2 count and failed to properly cover a base that would have ended an inning. That was two runs.
That 'effort' wasn't good enough.
