You are right they arent the entire game, and anyone telling you otherwise is a moron. There is a reason why I think Soto will struggled this year and it has nothing to do with stats it has to do with conditioning and not getting enough days off. Numbers just make the game more enjoyable to someone like me. It adds to the game, it defines the game, it makes sense of the game.
Also for my money Harold Reynolds is one dumb mother ******. He speaks very well but he doesn't know one thing about analyzing baseball.
As he isnt the greatest one out there, as I have stated before (no offense to you)<<<I have to say that now because people think i am ripping on them and the cubs, but anyway, I still would take a former big leaguers point of view over anyone that is a normal joe on a message board....again...NOT saying this to be malicious as people think, just my honest opinion.
Lets not get carried away. We are one game under 500 with 2/5 of our rotation out hurt.
The Cubs aren't good by any means, but with a decent pitcher on the mound today I think the Cubs are above 500.
We are in a bad division and anything is possible still.
I dont think the cubs are done.
But I disagree on the fact that the division sucks. Sure Houston blows, and Pitt isnt going to be there for the long haul, but Cincy, milwaukee, and st louis along with the cubs makes that division look good.
