Very excited for the game tonight, I think the Cubs get their first NLCS win since 2003

I think the pitching matchups are very much in the Cubs favor this series. It's going to be interesting to see how Kershaw does tomorrow, 3 straight starts on short rest, plus the save in Game 7. Cubs could get into the pen early if they drive that pitch count up

Montgomery and Wood takes the position of Strop and Rondon in this series, as the 7th inning / setup guys..

Zastryzny will be used otherwise to keep those 2 fresh..

Obviously if we see Chapman, mostly means we're winning by 3 or less in 9th..


Obviously need the hitters putting up crooked numbers..

This series, especially with the RH starters will be about them going at least 6 strong and getting the game to the LHers in pen

Montgomery is stretched out. He would be for if someone gets in trouble early. Wood, Rondon, and Strop will be a mixture for 7th and 8th. You may see Chapman used more than an inning as well.

That could be worse case scenario with Montgomery and if a starter can't go 6..
But
I think going in, Maddon hope would be using Montgomery and Wood from 6th inning on..
Both being able to go multiple innings, Maddon would have option of leaving them in to start next inning.

Strop and Rondon would be used to get the RHers out late..


With Dodgers lineup, it would just be a switch in their jobs between the 4 relievers..

Actually, no, not these next 2 games. Tonight the projected game time temp is 67, with the 10 pm temp at 68. Tomorrow, 67 at both game time and later. Perfect temps, really. Plus the wind's blowing out.
