Good to know. I thought they were a professional pitching staff.
You thought wrong.

The scenerio you might see Bum or any other dominant pitcher like him in a Game 5 or 7 must win.Good to know. I thought they were a professional pitching staff.
I'm fucking nervous
This will be an interesting series. I am nervous about this matchup with the Giants. The Giants are very battle tested in the post season and they have this mind set that they just need to make it and they are good to go. We have to take one of these first two games to have a prayer. The only saving grace if we go to SF 1-1 is if by some miracle Jake returns to the Jake of the 2nd half of last year. I am really hoping the Cubs do this because I don't want to have to deal with these Giant's fans once again.
Cubs fans
I'm fucking nervous
To summarize this thread: The Cubs, who are indisputably baseball's best team and the roster with the fewest weaknesses, are "finished" if they lose one game to the Giants, a deeply flawed team who limped into the postseason after one of the worst second-half performances in recent memory.
Makes sense.
You are 100% wrong. They will absolutely pitch him out of the pen in game 5 to win.

Interested to see who Joe uses in the 8th inning. Rondon has given up 8 ER in his last four outings, Strop has faced 14 batters since he came back, and Edwards is highly unlikely to get that call. Maybe he'll go Chapman for two innings?
There is no way they are pitching him on two days rest out of the bullpen just to win the NLDS. It throws him off for the next two series that you obviously need him to pitch a lot of innings in to win. MAYBE he'd give him an inning (ala a Save) but even then, I doubt it.
You also have him for another three years after this one as well so you're not going to risk future injury either like doing that would do.
