IGT Cubs vs Giants May 13-15

If Cubs had a 3 hole hitter this year they prolly would be in 1st place. Put a Fielder or Pujols in this lineup and how guys in scoring position all the damn time they would knock them in. Its a joke that Castro and Barney are 2nd on team for RBI's

I think to be legit contenders we need a Prince Fielder and another top notch hitter. Plus a few good pitchers. The biggest thing we need(not including a big bat) is a really fast guy to bat leadoff and who is a great fielder our defense must improve and we have to get a base stealer.

Eh, idk about first. But they wouldn't be 4 games back and I wouldn't scream obscenities at my TV every day.

Yeah, I'd still keep him around since he's a lefty. And a decent veteran presence when healthy.

I really like Cubs bullpen and SP. I think once Wells and Cashner comes back SP will only get better. I think adding BIG bat and another piece in offense would be good enough. a speedster would be really nice but not many of those players out there. The player that could be out there would be Reyes but with Barney playing so well i dont see that happening

I hope the Ricketts improve the faciltys for the players. I bet some top notch FA dont come here because they are shitty compared to a modern day club houses and batting cages and what not. Play at Yankee stadium or play at wrigley i think it does make a differnce.

Cubs already have done that. They did the clubhouse and training room. Kerry Wood even made comment how much better it is.
