That's like claiming Teahan is the hidden advantage the White Sox have over everyone else. :doorrofl:

Jokes on you, I don't follow the White Sox so I have no idea who you're referring to. :D

Indeed, hopefully Lord Stanley's stay in Sweet Home Chicago is going to be an extended one.

Iginla? 7 Mil, 33 years old? Coin toss with neither side being wrong. He brings a lot to the game that Kane doesn't have, but he's older and not as talented a playmaker.

- Completely wrong. He is a much better goal scorer, which is what the Hawks need and is a leader. Kane is too busy drinking and diddling girls to know what a leader is.

St Louis and Selanne? Great players, but a 35 and a 40 year old? Does the concept of Kane being 22 not make sense to you? Would you trade Keith for Lidstrom today? Wait, don't answer that.

- Keith has nothing to do with this and actually I might do that. Keith's game has taken a TREMENDOUS drop, but that is a completely different argument. St. Louis is 10X the playmaker that Kane is. I'll give you Selanne as almost done... but he still had a better year than Kane this year. Kane, a playoff stud, as you admitted, can't outdo an old Selanne? Very impressive year!

Grabner...a rookie. Kane had 72 points as a rookie. I understand that you're in love with goal totals, but come on.

- Grabner is on one of the worst teams in the league. You want young talent, here is it. Grabner is a better scorer then Kane. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.

So you named 3 rock solid choices, 1 coin flip/more expensive older guy, 2 geezers and a rookie. I'm giving you a strong 4 right answers.

- Your count is a little off, based off your jaded opinion. And I just spent 10 minutes looking up people. I am sure I can come up with another 10+ people who have a ridiculously low contract compared to Kane and putting up similar numbers.

That's 4 wingers that could be said are better (all things considered... skill, age, salary etc) than Patrick Kane.

4

Yeah, let's keep bitching about a top 5, 22 year old Stanley Cup winner

- You mean, let's complain about an overpaid winger who has shown very below average forechecking skills. With that in mind, he should be an elite goal scorer, which he isn't. He tries to be this "playmaker," which you keep naming him, waaaay too often and doesn't succeed. And yes, he is young so there is plenty of room for improvement. Unfortunately, this kid likes to chase skirts and get drunk, during the season as well as the offseason, instead of improve his physical stature and his game.

Is Kane good? Sure. Is he worth his contract, no way in hell.

Still waiting.
