I said this in another post, but I would not be upset at all if Mekhi Becton was playing RG for the Bears next season.

His 112 rating and the eye test paint a different picture. This is definitely the best version of Goff since he’s been in the league. Question is how much credit does BJ get for that vs the natural evolution and growth factor? 25%? 50%? 75%? Hard to say…but you don’t have a top 5 offense 3 years in a row if you’re not a great OC/play caller.
He has had multiple 100+ rated seasons as well. Has Goff played a little better? Sure, slightly. Did BJ fix Goffs weakness? Not at all.

And in the debate about developing CW and fixing CW flaws, its a big risk hiring a HC with limited experience and not actually addressing the flaws to Goffs game

I like Odunze, but damn Verse is awesome. He would have been the perfect component to Sweat at EDGE

Yeah, I thought #9 was all about him. Management had other big plans of a high flying offense. Didn't work. The offense had 4 yards in the 1st half against Seattle, which should have been accomplished on the 1st play. This sucks.

His 112 rating is a career high by over 10 which is significant

Yes he didn't fix Goff, he is the same player he always has been. He has had multiple 4600 yard seasons 28-32TD.. Goff doesn't do well with pressure, that has always been his kryptonite... BJ did not fix that flaw to his game.
Goff’s footwork has seen a lot of improvement (no clue if that’s cause of BJ, I’d actually assume it probably isn’t)… but no coach can fix you if you fold under pressure. They can only try to mask it so you’ll never see pressure.

Hurts is really struggling. Looks like how I thought he'd look when he came out of college. Doesn't know where to go with the ball.

And his 4600 yards this year is his 3rd best with having 17 games to 16 in the past. And he also has a great OL so that helps a lot.

This isn't a situation where he took a bad QB like Trubisky and turned him into a good QB
BJ took a 6 year vet, that had 2- 16game seasons of 4600+ yards. 2 -15 game seasons that where 3800-3900yards that had 2 pro bowl appearance multiple 100+ rating seasons. And gave him a great OL and made him a bit more efficient but did nothing to address the major flaw to his game.

That's just less impressive then fixing a bad QB or at least fixing the major flaw to Goffs game.

Nobody fixes a “bad QB.” You can mask some things, but it only works for so long…and hate to break it to you, but the majority of QBs struggle under pressure…especially ones with no athletic or scrambling ability like Goff. Fact of the matter is, it’s nearly impossible in todays NFL to win a SB without a top 5-7 QB and Goff will never be that.

Dude it’s not about fixing flaws. CW has only played his rookie year, man. The plan should be to get him in a productive system that he can grow with for years and years. Think big, not small.

What you’re describing is not even realistic. What other coaches can you point to as an example besides maybe Kevin OC with Darnold, who by the way came crashing down to earth?
