My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Toledo Rockets
Watched the game with my bros at a local establishment (all trolling me and rooting for the Wings). I was the only one who clapped when the Hawks scored in the third. It was awkward.

I wouldnt go that far, as the neighborhood surrounding it is a work in progress, but, the fans are starting to go because it is one of the hottest tickets in town. it is becoming a yuppy filled house with corporate execs sending their clients and what not there. we send about 10 just from one firm who are usually not fans of hockey, and if they are they are fans of other teams.

Kruger & Hayes did some magic..keep em together. Frolik is just a joke to watch.

You are the guy who recently was quoted saying...

"alot of people don't appreciate the little things Kruger does like that back-check today.

get a clue & actually watch the guy play & stop looking at just stats.

guy is also not afraid to get his nose dirty. "

Get a clue and actually watch the guy play, buddy. Frolik had a very solid game last night. Sure it would have been great if he scored on the breakaway but he played a very solid game. I didn't see him turn the puck over, no blueline turnovers, always got the puck deep, won board battles, and played an overall very effective game last night.

After watching Frolik play last night, I don't get why anyone would ever want Scott in on forward over him. Look, Scott will beat the hell out of anybody in a meaningless fight...but Frolik will actually help the team win. Frolik helped last night.

To continue on Scott...he actually played okay last night except when he got burned in the 2nd and the Wings had low 2 on 1. HOWEVER...Scott plays 3:51 last night and then Keith has to play 32:13. Absolutely way too much and that is because Scott can't play in a tight game and is an absolute liability. Keith needs to be just over 25 minutes every night, 32+ change is absolutely ridiculous.

I thought our forwards played a great game last night. Kept it simple and got a lot of nice chances. Jimmy Howard made some real nice saves. Kane, Stalberg, Hossa, and Sharp all had real nice games in my eyes.

Hayes/Kruger/Brunette - all three of them looked pretty good. Hayes looked the best in my opinion. He is staying on his feet a whole lot better and doing the simple things. Everytime he gets the puck he is using his body to drive the net. If you drive the net, only good things are going to happen...you will get a goal, you will get a rebound, you will draw a penalty, or you will simply create havoc infront of the net. Kruger had a nice hard working goal and he needed it after taking a bad offensive penalty early on in the game.

Should be interesting to see if Stan finds anything worthwhile in the market today after there was a bit of action and a Central team improving.

Lets just hope Bowman doesnt see this stretch and think we dont need an upgrade

IF we want to be serious stanley cup contenders we need:

2nd line center
top 4 dman

Agreed.

The nice thing is that the defense is playing better without Hjalmarsson and Montador. Should be interesting to see who stays and who goes when the time comes. Hjalmarsson has been practicing with the team so I would guess he is back soon.

In a perfect world...would like to see the Blackahwks sign a rental Dman and then hopefully a 2C who is signed beyond this summer.

My dad is near 60 & has said it's turning into Wrigley each passing home game.

You both (Dews) have good points but he called it the min McDonough was hired.

Wings/Hawks crowd was fucking flat yesterday. The rivalry was way better when Kane/Toews were rookies.

How the **** was it flat yesterday?

National Anthem was electric. People were on pins and needles the last 10 minutes of the third...a whole lot of gasping and people on the edge of their seats. The entire place stood up the moment the clock had 1 minute left on it. People were going crazy for Kane's partial break away and everyone was standing for Frolik's. Hell, there were even those "Detroit Sucks" chants that you like so much.

Simply not true.

I like to joke about Frolik and his empty netters but it does say that he's responsible and that he can be counted on when a lead is on the line. that is definitely an asset.

unfortunately his offensive game is terrible and not at all the asset it was assumed to be. a disappointment for sure.

Agreed, his offensive game has been disappointing. I think it is that way because it is a lot like Stalberg, previous to this year. Frolik seems to have all the tools to succeed...but a few of the tools that he is missing are holding him back. Mainly I think he has a terrible shot...not a good release, not fast enough, not heavy enough. After that though the guy seems to work hard, play well on the boards, have good speed, a high hockey IQ, etc etc.

Still some time to turn it around...might have to be on another team though. The way he plays though is the right way to play hockey and I enjoy watching him play, even if he can't buy a point.

100 level sucks. That's where all the suits are. 300 level is where it's at.

While me & my brother in law had a good time again, the crowds just absolutely suck at the UC now.
