I didn't see the first period (Bulls game) but it looked like the Blackhawks outplayed the Canucks in the 2nd and 3rd. It's too bad they were down 2 to nothing and none of their shots found the net. They should've won.

When Sharp is playing with the hardest edge of all of your lineup- you're going to lose. When Sharp has the most net presence of any player on your team- you're going to lose.
Get tough. Play dirty. Last year, game 3 of the series. Byfuglien owned the game by owning the front of the net. He scored 3. Game 4, Vancouver was pissed and took a TON of stupid penatlies against him. Toews burned them on the PP.
Get under their skin, play hard. Vancouver gets it right now. The Hawks do not.

Well shit, I thought we played pretty well. We controlled the last two periods, the puck just didn't fall our way tonight. If we can play like that through the rest of the series we should be good to go.

After a rough start i thought the hawks pulled it together and played a good game. Lets hope history repeats itself by the nucks winning game one and us winning the series. Love that the physical play stepped up in the second and third periods cause we got our tits owned in the first in that category.

Hawks certainly won the last two periods and they had their share of bad bounces.
But even while they were controlling play, Vancouver had a massive physical advantage. Seemingly every time a Hawk had speed through the neutral zone, they were promptly stopped by a Canuck who was looking to drop a hit. Vancouver finished every hit, whether they were clean or questionable. Toews was clearly marked and rendered ineffective.
Keith was not good. It took too long for Q to figure out that Kane Toews Sharp NEEDS to be a line. Campbell was effective at cutting over and into Vancouver's zone, but holy smokes, the guy does not have a good shot.
Sharp (Hawks MVP of the game), Crawford and Hossa were strong. Smith and Frolik played interesting games. Seabrook, Bickel, Dowell... all the big guys need to play bigger.

Eh, I'd give the Hawks credit for having 3 lines, though obviously the top two got extra work being down 2-0 the whole game.
The 4th ("checking") line is a disaster though. As shitty as he was, at least when Eager would hit the ice, he'd get one solid, often stupid hit on someone.
