Mark my words, this team is done...FINISHED...And if they win (which they won't) then go ahead and rub it in my face.

And they're still putting on a shit show. I don't support shit shows.

The hawks look like complete morons out there. There net presence was not existent, their major players are nowhere to be found, duncan keith looks like shit.......you know you are in bad shape when your leading scorer is smith.

how about the stalberg love? is that still around? The guy skates fast but looks like a peewee player playing for the Rolling Meadows Chargers.

it does bug the shit out of me when they talk that they need to be physical and crash the net... yet they dont. Smith was not afraid to be in front and look who got two goals. How do they not follow their damn game plan.

Yes the team used to have success in cycling the puck to get an open shot, but with Q mixing up the lines so much, the chemistry on lines isnt there and turnovers happen.

For some reason they just seemed that they couldnt connect on passes, so they better get their heads out of their asses. Win the home games, and just gotta find a way to win one on the road. Very pissed but still havent lost the faith yet.

Rolling Meadows has a team? Who knew? :D

The other thing is -- in hoockey saying something is pretty easy, but actually doing it- well, the other team tends to try to stop you if they can.

Next up a must win -- actually the next 2 are must win (well they typically are in 7 game series' when you drop the first 2), even if the Hawks end up winning the next one, that is sort of like getting a goal in a lopsided game ... nice for "pride" whatever that is worth ... usually nothing considering the post season is all about winning 4 of 7.

Stay tuned, to see what happens. (It is still ice hockey ... no matter what).

-And looks like I was wrong about the Hawks looking like a strong #8 seed- they are looking exactly like one -oh well. Still got last year.

As odd as it may be I think it'll be better in the long term for the team to get knocked out by the Canucks. I can't imagine this team can take on the west.

The more and greater players like Crawford play the greater their contract worth can grow.

Stalberg's awesome, he's our second best scorer this postseason. :shifty:

I didn't read anything in this thread, so excuse me if I am repeating things.

Yes, things look grim. Yes, they are obviously playing a more overall talented team. Yes, it looks like a first round exit. Yes, Duncan Keith looks like complete shit.

But atleast they scored.... multiple goals. The third line looked great. Shit, some of that Stahlberg love is actually warranted... atleast he put the puck on the net (Imagine that, shooting can lead to goals... *cough* KANE *cough).

I'm not going to give up complete hope until they lose a game at home, though.

GO HAWKS!

This team needs a lot of changes to be ultra competitive again and I'm not sure how we're going to do that considering we're basically at a cap max. We've entered hockey hell.

We gave up too much 4/Hossa.

The Hawks are letting the Canucks win games 1, 2 and 3 so they can be like the Flyers from last year obviously. :shifty:

This team has no physicality whatsoever. They looked like a pee-wee team against the Canucks in games one and two. Hossa is overpaid. No doubt about it. He doesn't produce enough to warrant his large contract. If this team doesn't do something in the off-season, I don't see them contending for the Cup for a while. But I couldn't be happier that we did it last year. Fantastic season and I will cherish that for years.

This has gotten a tad off topic, but seriously saying Hossa doesnt deserve what he got? Him and Toews are maybe the two best all around players on the team. Look at the defensive side of things and how amazing the guy is.

Stop with the whole next season crap already.

I think the team will be more competitive this coming season, than this season. The cap goes up, the bonus cap hits come off, there is no need for Boyton/Cullimore style bandaids for half or more of the season.

Hossa's cap hit is fine.
