Second luckiest empty net non-goal ever.

Oh well, hope is not lost. Pretty sure Philly felt like this last year only to come back three straight games.

OMG...

You have to be the world's biggest optimist!!!

God bless your non-negativity!!!

In lieu of a playoff beard (due to the fact that my facial hair comes in very patchy), I have instead been going without a haircut. It's looking like I will be getting one on Wednesday.

There is some good news out of this.....

Its gonna be a lot easier to decide who stays and who goes this off season. They're carrying a lot more dead weight this year than last....last season most everyone contributed, not this year. I do think they found a player in Ben Smith, who should also be easy on the cap for them...I thought he was the best the Hawks had to offer tonight.

I think writing "****" a thousand times would be justified right now. Damn it, just damn it.

But hey, I called it, they are losing games 1-3 intentionally so they can be like the Flyers. :shifty:

Stalberg, Brouwer, Bickell, Dowel... none of them have brought it in this series.

They can all hit the road.

Yeah...no. They're done.

Hah, I'm not that much of an optimist. It just pisses me off to no end listening to everyone giving up before it's even over.

Go bite the curb, JoeCawks, I'll be over in a bit.

It's been easy for awhile. :D

Hopefully the players vote for the increase. Every little bit will help and we'll be able to turn some of the 500k dead weight into 1mil lesser dead weight. :/

And that 5 on 3 that Q took the timeout on became a self-fulfilling prophecy.

They didn't score and they lost the game.

Agreed, But it has to go further than that...you cant keep shuffling 6 Dmen out there when only 2 of them will hit anyone. We're stuck with 3 of them as no one will take on their dumbass contracts plus we're also stuck long term with a declining Hossa. Things actually could get worse before they get better.

Hah, I'm not that much of an optimist. It just pisses me off to no end listening to everyone giving up before it's even over.

Game 3 is the first game of the series that the Hawks should have won.

They were badly beaten in the first two games, no matter what the score card in the second game says. They've been physically outmatched in a huge way and their big name players have not stepped up. It's crystal clear that Vancouver wants this series much more than Chicago does and they have a roster that can get it done. They're not being stopped by this Chicago team.

Back to game 3... the Hawks played well and really played well enough to win the game. But, great, determined teams find a way to win games they maybe shouldn't and that's precisely what Vancouver did tonight. The Hawks did it last year (nashville game 4, many of the sharks games)

I don't like shitting on the Hawks and if you've read my posts throughout this whole season, I've remained positive because I don't enjoy shitting all over a team just because they're struggling. But it's pretty clear now that the Hawks can not do this. It's not some big bold indictment of the franchise... they're just out matched and more importantly facing a team that is a lot hungrier and has a lot more to prove.

The Hawks have been pounded, pounded, and then pounded some more. We gotta get some rocks to put in these guys' uniforms for real.

Agreed with your assessment here. This one they should have pulled out.

There's no rule that says we have to put five guys out on the ice at once, is there? I say we put Stalberg and Scott out on a line by themselves Tuesday night just for shits and gigs.

Hey....

Will a Marty Turco make an appearance? Might as well, at least Crawford can keep a little self respect by not going 4 and out.

They could also see if the Hansen brothers are available.....
