Q said they could have scored 4 if the Torres penalty was called a 5 minute major.

Thats like blaming steriods is the reason you lost a playoff series. Chicago teams :obama: take credit for blowing it.

Game 3 is the first game of the series that the Hawks should have won.

They were badly beaten in the first two games, no matter what the score card in the second game says. They've been physically outmatched in a huge way and their big name players have not stepped up. It's crystal clear that Vancouver wants this series much more than Chicago does and they have a roster that can get it done. They're not being stopped by this Chicago team.

Back to game 3... the Hawks played well and really played well enough to win the game. But, great, determined teams find a way to win games they maybe shouldn't and that's precisely what Vancouver did tonight. The Hawks did it last year (nashville game 4, many of the sharks games)

I don't like shitting on the Hawks and if you've read my posts throughout this whole season, I've remained positive because I don't enjoy shitting all over a team just because they're struggling. But it's pretty clear now that the Hawks can not do this. It's not some big bold indictment of the franchise... they're just out matched and more importantly facing a team that is a lot hungrier and has a lot more to prove.

I dunno. They had chances in Game 2, and definitely played with more intensity tonight. Apart from some poor defensive turnovers, they looked solid. The only game that they didn't look like they belonged in the playoffs was Game 1.

The whole problem is that the Hawks don't have the depth they did last year.

Yeah, I know, you're not the type to shit on the Hawks and you're right that they're outmatched. I just don't think it's fair to give up with another game left to play. I'm not saying the Hawks will or won't win, it's just aggravating to see so many people jumping ship.

And it's not just you. I've listened to my roommate whine for the last week about how the Hawks suck and I'm just tired of hearing it. I literally just told him not to watch Game 4 if he's so convinced they don't stand a snowballs chance in hell.

I guarantee that as soon as the Bulls drop a game or two, everyone on here is going to be so convinced that they're not going to win. It's just aggravating to see Chicago fans give up on Chicago teams before it's over (except for the Cubs, it's always over for them).

I agree with you. I think a lot of Chicago fans get that way because they've seen it happen before. The past has made them pessimistic whenever things start to go the other team's way. Sure they can take it overboard and it's no reason to start "shitting" on your team, but I guess that's how they deal with it. Our luck in the past hasn't always been on our side, but with the Sox winning in 05 and the Hawks last year perhaps our luck is turning around.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
For anyone who has watched this team grow up together, what has happened can't be any big surprise. Its been going on all year. Up until this season, the Hawks have had kind of a karma....its like there was never a game they couldn't win.

This year, its been the exact opposite....no lead was safe and there was never a game I didn't think they were capable of blowing. The salary cap problem did more than rip away this team's depth.....it robbed them of their chemistry.

I felt this team was lacking for a long time...didn't want to believe it but felt it nonetheless.

After reading all this, I just have to say two words: Hakuna Matata!

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejEVczA8PLU]YouTube - Hakuna Matata(English)[/ame]

Yeah, I know its sounds totally childish, but Timon and Pumbaa are just saying the truth!

I think some just forget the fun of sports and take everything a little too seriously (which applies to both fan and for players). All players of the team are good ice hockey players. Some of them may make mistakes, but you know what? Nobody is perfect. In the end the team with the most luck wins. And by the way we live in the now. So forget the past.

So just lets hope they will win the next game (which they totally will because its my birthday :p)!

Am I the only one who is hoping that the Hawks lose tonight? I say that because I am just ready for this extremely disappointing season to just end so I can pack up my Hawks crap until next year and be done with them.
