You should refresh your memory about Jordan's first years:

1984-85:no playoffs
1985-86:the Bulls were swept by the Celtics
1986-87:the Bulls were again swept by the Celtics
1987-88:beaten in semifinals by the eventual Eastern Conference Champions Detroit Pistons in five games.
1988-89:the Bulls were subdued in six games by the eventual NBA champion Pistons.
1989-90:the Bulls pushed the Pistons to seven games in the ECF before being edged out for the third straight year

FirstTimer makes it a point to get under people's skin but, you, Houh, just make it a point to be the anti-homer to make it sound like you're smarter than everybody else.
I don't know about "everyone else" but I can say for a fact that he is smarter than you.

So that's a start.

And do I say shit without thinking it through 99.9% of the time? Sure.
Fixed.

1. The only idiotic thing I said about the Diaw/AK/D12/LBJ thing was that Diaw and AK could possibly be construed as more versatile than LeBron James individually. It was a lazy statement and that was neither what I meant nor was the point of why I brought it up.
So you're both stupid and lazy?

The Oscar/Clyde thing was purely because I felt that I was not educated enough about Oscar to say that I could put him beyond a shadow of a doubt over Drexler.
So you're still stupid?
Nothing that I've said has been idiotic.
Actually MOST of what you said has been idiotic.

Ironically saying "nothing" you have said has been idiotic in and of itself is an idiotic statement.

Chalk up another one.

but I am honest about what I know and don't know.
Well seeing as you don't know jack fucking shit, and I've never seen you admit that. I shall now consider you a liar.

Derrick Rose wasn't the biggest reason why the Bulls lost honestly. It was because the Heat had better quality players.
And because Rose wasn't good enough to take on the Heat's best player.

Nobody "stopped" Jordan though..dude scored 63 points on one of the greatest teams in NBA history, the '86 Celtics. Rose is not in Jordan's league.

Secondly, none of those Bulls teams early in Jordan's career were on the level of this Bulls team. The Bulls had to wait for Pippen and Grant to improve, and for Jordan to believe in them. This Bulls team is more refined than those teams.

Plus Scottie and Grant were on the last 3 teams, not the first three. This Bulls team is definitely better than what Jordan had to work with early on.

Oakley, Paxson, Sam Vincent, Brad Sellers, Orlando Woolridge, Dave Corzine, Jack Haley, Enis Watley, Old George Gervin, Granville Waiters etc. were not going to get it done.

So yeah, no one stopped Jordan, his teams improved year after year and I would make an exception to that by saying the Pistons did, but only after Pippen and Grant were drafted. Once they matured as you said the team took off with Jordan as the head of the ship.

All this shows is that they were knocking on the door from the 88 playoffs on to the 91 playoffs when they finally broke through.

The thing is, look who they lost to. They lost to the 86 Celtics one of the greatest teams of all times. And the 87 Celtics who lost to the Lakers in 87.

Then lost to the Bad Boys Pistons 3 years in a row. That wasn't no punk competition. That's all time competition. The Bulls lost last year to the Heat. Not an all time great team, not even and eventual champion. They lost to the Cavs in 10, again, not an all time great team and a team that didn't even make the Finals.

Rose was in the ECF in his 3rd year.Rome wasn't built in one day.And in Rose's case they are building it pretty fast.He was the youngest MVP of all time. The youngest ever to record 2,000 points and 600 assists in a single season (MJ and LBJ is the other two guys in this 3 men club). And if you haven't noticed he will win the championship this year or the next year.

The 2010 bulls are taking quicker steps than the 85 bulls and you are complaining about everything.

And no.Nobody stopped Rose from something. The Heat stopped the Bulls from making the Finals. This is a team game.If you say DRose was stopped by them then Jordan was stopped by C's and Pistons. And holly shit. When did 2 top5 players and one top5 PF were in the same team in the past and I didn't noticed it?The Heat is not something small. They are not playing good basketball but they have great superstar power in their team.

And allow me to say that if you go superstar power vs superstar power against them you will probably lose. It's Wade,Lebron and Bosh. You will need Rose,Howard and Aldridge to be near them in superstar power. It needs something more than superstar to beat them. And this is team basketball. The best way to beat them is this.Great team basketball vs pure superstar power and knock them off.Superstar power can never win a championship if they can't perform well as a team.

Had to add spaces to make it readable. Who was this directed at by the way?

I always forget the spaces. I am sorry. It will never happen again. It wasn't directed at someone specific. I Just wrote my opinion for the 2010 Bulls and DRose compared to 85' Bulls.
