Never thought I'd say this but this team has gotten to be boring. Of course, lack of scoring will do that in most any sport but this team should be better than that...this ragging on the bullpen is way overblown....lack of run support putting is too much pressure on them. They will have some decisions to make in a bit...mostly on which team do they have...the 15-16 Cubs or the 2017 Cubs. At this point, I'm not really sure.

They have an all or nothing type lineup and it relies alot on Rizzo and Bryant hitting.
When those 2 slump they dont score much..

They dont have any consistent .290s .300 hitters that can spray the ball around..

Theres Rizzo and Bryant

They have suckass hitters in Zobrist and Heyward..

Streaky hitters in Russell Contreras Baez ..

Schwarber who HR BB Ks or hard outs

Then a bunch of guys who gets plugged in and either have good games or bad ones


My wish for 2018 is hoping they can add a couple high average hitters around Rizzo Bryant Contreras and Russell..

I agree. He inherited two base runners and got out with minimal damage. The damage was from a ridiculous source ,but for what he inherited, not bad.

If the first pitch is right down the middle you swing. Cubs have been behind in the count much because of taking first pitch strikes.
