You have to realize that some on CCS never move on. And never will.
Have you given opinions yet or is your mo still to just argue with pessimistic posters?

🤦🏻‍♂️ Jones could have just… intercepted that pass but he instead goes for the headshot hit and gets a penalty.

I love that we have an entire thread discussing the coaching hires and how important it is that a QB get the right offensive coach to work with.

Then in the IGT, we act like the coaching doesn't matter, and a player would be exactly the same no matter the coach.
I never said coaching doesn’t matter. Two things. The coach doesn’t go out there and hit a deep TD for you when another guy was one of the worst deep passers in recent memory with

A receiver who was near the top off the league in separation last year - allen

A receiver who was top 5 in deep receiving with Justin freaking fields last yesr

The leading deep receiver in division 1 last year

Also, coaching didn’t make Williams mid 30s or lower in comp % and average and one of the worst deep passers in the last 15 years.

The Cowboys haul landed them their QB. You are suggesting passing on QB or a haul. Very different.
Not very different. I’m suggesting when you know that the guy who is number one is overvalued, you trade out of that spot, especially when you can get similar value and a haul of picks.

If Williams ends up being generational, I’ll be wrong and will be the first to admit it. If he doesn’t, and also doesn’t end up being the top QB in that group of top picks, I am correct.

Remember, this whole “well I really know cause I’m backing the shiny new toy” was the order of the day when cutler and grossman started. Complete with talking down to those who dissent.

What do you think the chances are that all of those bears fans who backed cutler hard, and ended up being wrong, are sitting this one out?

Zero. Many if not most if not all of those jocking Williams were telling people like me about all the great things suckler absolutely was going to do ten years ago

The bears could have gotten an absolute haul for Williams due to how overvalued he was. Don’t play dumb on that front.

What it would show is that they could identify a guy who had higher real than perceived value. Or do you think Aaron Rodgers was the number one pick in the draft,

Their preferred QB I doesn’t have the value that they or you thought he did.
They weren't trading 1.1

Stop making up scenarios to fit whatever grievance you have.

They made the right pick

That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have like they did a year ago.

They made the absolute wrong pick of a non deep passer who holds on to the ball too long and got owned by Notre dame. You got sold some pr.

When you end up being dead wrong I look forward to you denying it. Just like Rex grossman fans who talked like you do now are MIA.

I'd have loved to see Nix with 3 oc + 2 hc in 17 games behind that line.....odds are bagent would have started multiple games and the bears would still be wondering who their future qb was

Buffalo has issues against the run. Buffalo will have to score a lot

Yeah, I'm personally taking the Ravens. They're better running the ball and stopping the run. But the Ravens pass D is very suspect, so Allen is going to have a lot of opportunities. I think it'll be much closer than their matchup earlier this season though. Playing in Buffalo is difficult
