Its still a bad pick. He has a top 10 guaranteed cash amount. The entire point of drafting a player in the first round is to have 5 years of cheap control.

Taking a rb in the top 15 is dumb, it doesnt matter how good he is. You take a WR,LT,DT,QB,DE,etc there because they make 25m+ a year if they are great, great RB's make 12 and you can find good ones in FA all the time.
No, actually the main reason for choosing players is to win.

I'd have loved to see Nix with 3 oc + 2 hc in 17 games behind that line.....odds are bagent would have started multiple games and the bears would still be wondering who their future qb was
Nix didn’t hold the ball as long as Williams in college

What hauls set up the Patriots and Chiefs? Any examples of teams that needed two Hauls?
Who said you have to have a haul. Great coaching and consistently good picks set up the pats. That’s less needed when you get a haul

Well, you said that’s “That’s how winning organizations win! A haul set up the 90s cowboys.” So… now you agree you don’t need a haul, much less two hauls, to win.

Hard for hold the ball long when almost all your passes are bubble screens.....which is what his offense was at Oregon

FFS. That is one of many ways winning organizations win. You know what isn’t? Drafting overvalued PR hyped QBs and then crying about what they don’t have around them, when you could have had a QB of similar value and more stuff around them.

Yeah man, when we get someone who just beats the league pick for pick, we’ll, for one.. you wouldn’t have been desperate for Caleb because that guy would have already had a really good QB with a low first or second round pick.

Remember, teams in the bears division go out and get guys who would be the bears all time leading passer, some twice over, with low first round picks.

On plays where they didn’t throw bubble screens, he wasn’t a 4.5 second superstar.

You do realize when you talk to fans who aren’t bears fans, they laugh at the Caleb worship. The only people who think Caleb is amazing anymore are kids and people who try to defend this organization. Other fans just think he stands there till bad shit happens. Go ask them.

You didn’t say that’s one of the ways, did you? FFS, be clear. The rest of your post isn’t worth addressing. Pretty dumb nonsense.

I hate John Hussey as a ref. Just a lot of over-officiated games. And Troy Aikman has no idea about anything.

I don't like that call... what is the rusher supposed to do to dodge the punter?
