The problem is that Joe doesn't really have a good reason to hate Beckham. He's got a gold glove caliber defense and is still pretty good at the plate. He's not great. Not like every guy in the lineup is going to have a .300/.400/.600 slash line or something.

Okay, well even then no team is going to have a lineup with all nine batters hitting over .300

You look at the best offensive team in the league, Rangers, and they've got plenty of guys not hitting over .300. They even have a batter with a worse average than Beckham.

Learn about baseball. and if you're going to judge by only batting average, at least be consistent about it. beckham's average is better than Hudson's.

Detroit is 11-2 in thier last 13. Obviously that won't hold, but I think they're staying above .500 for the rest of the year. Sox just need to get out of their offensive slump.

Detroit is super hot right now, so that kind of changes things. I think it will definitely be a race, but I don't think the White Sox will keep a lead in the division as long as they have so far.

Ihighly doubt it was due to the 100 MPH pitch, a 3 MPH difference in threshold is a bit over played. there was torque already from attempt to swing, it wasnt lke the bat was just standing still, and we dont know the bat condition before that pitch if there was a fracture. this makes for a cool story but a very very nice illusion.
