Refs have decided not to call any fouls in this game. Clingan has already committed five.
They are letting his hacking slide.
But the Illini need to shoot open 3’s instead of driving the basket when that big guy is in there

It’s been a good season. At least Brad advanced past their seeding. Maybe they can cover.

Maybe driving inside constantly against an inside presence is not the best strategy.
They are just a damn good team and have been the best program since 99. 3 different head coaches have won a title while Illinois had to endure Groce, the fall of Weber and Underwood underperforming(in March) for 3 years.

So what’s the starting 5 next year?
Dainja is likely one right? I imagine Underwood will be busy in the transfer portal

So the answer to the question “how many consecutive points must the opponents score before Brad makes an adjustment?“ Is 30.

lol.
Honestly the most Brad could do in this game was try to keep the score within 15. They are just that much better. I just think that this is Brad’s peak as the Illini coach but then again I didn’t think they would have a good season this year.

Tennessee tried to hack their way past Purdue today.
Final 4– 1 from each conference except that “dominant” Big 12.

Anybody but UCONN or Duke to win it all please

Well, that didn't take long.
I don’t blame him. He went from 20mpg in 22 to 10mpg in 23. He’s not the brightest player but he’s proven to be a load in the paint

The more he played late in the year the better they looked. I am sorry to see him go.

I see Illinois has already picked up a forward from Mercer and they are rumored to be in on AJ Storr from Wisconsin who will be going to his third team already.

Storr is good but that’s a huge red flag to be on his 3rd team already. The Mercer kid is nothing special, they aren’t a good team and he didn’t exactly light it up for them.
