Lol 5-1? Are you on crack?

They aren't beating MSU or Wisconsin on the road. And they will absolutely have their hands full with home games against Purdue and Rutgers. Rutgers is no slouch this year.

If they escape that stretch at 3-2, you should count your blessings.
They aren’t beating MSU. Wisconsin is nothing special. And I specifically stated “if they play like they did against Maryland and Michigan”. If they do that, they “could” go 5-1.

I agree Wisconsin is nothing special. But, they are still a middle of the pack team, and road wins in the B10 are extremely rare.

So, your point is that if Illinois plays their absolute best basketball, they perhaps might go 5-1 over their next 6 games? Gee, way to go out on a limb there.

I didn’t go out on a limb. Where you are thinking correctly is it’s very hard to win on the road in the B1G.

Finally getting Alan Griffin minutes! Frazier needed to be point last year and this one, too.

Always a lot more posts on here when Illinois wins vs. when they lose.

Which begs the question why are you posting now? They won, you only come around to ***** when they lose, same sorry ass shit you do on the Cubs forum.

Actually I post after wins and losses. That's why I pointed out that there are always a lot more posts after they win (usually against some sorry sack of shit team).

It may well be. But they still looked like shit against Mizzou and MSU. And there was barely a peep from anyone after those embarrassing performances.

Also, despite their Pomeroy, they are out according to the latest bracketology.

Only you seem to care that no one else wants to be miserable. As for bracketology, they should be out at the moment. They need to hold at home and win a few on the road.

It's not about wanting to be miserable. If the team plays like shit, why not discuss it? The jury is still out on Underwood but it's not looking great. If they lay an egg against Wisconsin, people will be calling for his head again.

It’s not looking great? Best Pomeroy in 5 years and a great class coming in next year. It may not be great, but it appears to be on the uptick. People calling for his head. LOL. His buyout is prohibitive this year. The program when Underwood was hired was essentially in the same spot when Henson was hired. It tool Lou about 5 years to get things turned. Underwood is getting another year no matter how many people are “calling for his head again”. Why not discuss the negative? Because there isn’t any point to being miserable. The negative this season is the team is a bit schizophrenic, which is why they were only 1.5 point favorites in a home game where they squashed the competition. The emergence of Griffin gives them energy and a spark. If Frazier keeps bringing the ball up the court and found his confidence again, the rest of the year could be really fun.

Curbelo is blowing up this year. He's the program's most important recruit in years. A true point guard who plays exactly the style that Underwood's system needs. Plus Miller. No way Underwood is getting canned.

The team this year looks like they could turn a corner if Griffin continues to play with this confidence, they can figure out how to get something from Giorgi when Cockburn is on the floor, and if they can hit some shots. They play pretty good defense usually, although I wish they'd play more aggressively against the high ball screen. Not sure Underwood is capable of running an effective half court offense with this group. But making some shots will obviously help with that.

Maybe most important since Cockburn. That’s 1 year.

He's more important, by a good margin.

Guard play is by far more important that post play in CBB. KC, for as good as he is, has not scored from outside the paint once this year.
