I think they will firmly establish themselves as a top 25 , actually far better, by midseason.

I am tempted to say much sooner, but with a lot of new pieces, it could take a little bit for everyone to find their roles

But I expect Illinois to be a very, very good team and ranked easily within the top 25 by seasons end.

They have the feel of a Calipari Kentucky team, tons of really talented guys with no CBB experience and transfers with lots of talent but sometimes spotty histories. Should have at least 2 or 3 guys drafted.

Will matter if they get the C eligible or not.

I tend to agree, I think they will be really good. They are going to struggle on defense a lot though, and hopefully there will be enough balls to go around. Seems like a boom or bust type season.

@TL1961 so Bruce Pearl is in quite a predicament. Since I’m close to the program, I’ve heard that one of the players was masterbating in the bathroom on the plane out to Texas(?) and another player started banging on the door to tell him to stop because they could all hear it. When the player came out, they started fighting. The pilot then turned the plane back around to Auburn.
