My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Illinois Fighting Illini
If you're going down then go down in flames. 63-24. ****!
That was a tough to watch 4th quarter, wasn't it? They had a bunch of freshmen and sophomores beating Pedo State in the 3rd quarter though. They will win some games this year in the Big Ten. Rivers shows a lot of promise at the QB position.

ND is horrible.
I have some connections to big donors.

The administration really doesn't give 2 fucks about sports in general, outside of not getting embarrassed.

If Comp Sci and Eng is top 5, they're happy.

If they don't have to hear suburban tax heels complain nonstop that their underachieving, entitled, white kid can't get into U of I business with a 27 on the ACT and A's in middling classes, they're happy.

If they can keep the school safe and campus fairly safe for girls....

You get the picture. Football isn't and WILL NOT be on the agenda in a big way for the coming decade unless something huge changes.

Enjoy teh suck.

I don’t know much about Illinois football except it is just a little better than Indiana football which has been mediocre at best over the years. No Lovie fan, but probably needs 5 full years to see what they do or do not have.

He's 7 and 21 in 3 seasons at Illinois, at this point he's working with his recruited players, it's not going to get much better.
NCAA recruitment isn't a draft. He doesn't get to recruit the players he wants immediately. They mostly go to better schools. He gets the best of what's left. As the program grows, the ability to recruit grows. Right now it's still about growing the program. The W-L record won't reflect the growth until year 5 or 6.

Every publication I have has him on a very hot seat. I don't think coaches are given as much time as they have in the past, it's all about instant gratification.
